Identical in feel to a Zeiss CP.2
I am a professional cinematographer and have used lenses with values into the six figures. I know what a quality lens looks and feels like. This lens feels like a Zeiss CP.2. In fact, it seems to be an exact clone. The only difference is Rokinon doesn't advertise these as being interchangeable lens mounts but from looking at it it seems like you could change the mount just like on a CP.2 if you had a lens mount kit.Anyway, the focus and iris barrels feel very smooth. Not too firm and not too loose. Again, almost identical in feel to a Zeiss CP.2.Another aspect of a good cinema lens is calibration of the focus and t stop scales. While I haven't had a chance to check the focus scales I did check the T stops and compared them against my Canon 50mm 1.2L. Wide open at F1.2, the Canon is about a stop brighter than the Xeen at T1.5, which is to be expected. Once you stop down to T2 and beyond the exposure levels match up perfectly to the same F stop on the Canon.Lastly, what I like about this lens is it looks very professional and doesn't say Rokinon anywhere on it. Your clients will never guess you are using a low budget made in Korea lens. While I wont use this lens to shoot anything I can afford to rent nice glass for, I'll definitely use it for the lower budget jobs I would normally have used my Canon L glass for.I'll hope to update this review with a report on the focus scales and color matching between lenses once I get the other two in the set.

Can't beat it for the money
Finally got a chance to use this lens on a project and wow, it works fantastic. Very little focus breathing, which was the main reason I wanted to upgrade my lens kit a bit. Worth it!

Incredible Lenses
The media could not be loaded. I have been using the Xeens for a few months now and they are brilliant. Incredible bokeh and wonderful fall off. They are super high quality and well built. Cannot recommend enough.Pros:- super smooth focus throws- really fast T1.5- amazingly built- great color reproduction- interchangeable lens mounts (through dealer)Cons:- expensive (cheap comparative to other cinema lenses)
