Vello Lens Mount Adapter - Canon FD Lens to Canon EOS Camera

It's nice when things just work like it should.This will lock onto your camera body, but the lens doesn't lock the same way. So it you have large fingers like me,,,, you will need to pay attention to the different feel your focus ring has to the lock ring... if you're using manual focus, and that should go without saying

Adapter works well and fits snug on lens and body.

Could not get pictures to focus, no matter what adjusts were made. Focus was just fine for pictures taken with digital lenses and no adapter.

There is a haze/glow on all images I took, especially those under bright light.This is a big issue, because there is no way to compromise this. None of the images are useable. Basically, $36 wasted...

Purchased a Vello Lens Mount Adapter - Canon FD Lens to Canon EOS Camera from a different source...The Adapter fits on the camera body (Canon EOS Rebel T5i) just fine, but the adapter seems a little bit too long for the lenses to attach without binding. I tried several lenses, 2 Canon FD Lenses: a 35-105 and it binds, a 100-300 and it binds; then I tried a Sigma 28mm for Canon FD use, it worked, but is a bit tight; a Sigma 600 Mirror works fine, but no Aperture Lever here. Then, I installed an FD 2x Doubler on the Adapter and all lens worked as advertised. The Doubler allows more clearance for the Lens Aperture Lever than just the Adapter did... After trying the different lenses, you can see the rub marks from the Aperture Lever... As you have previously mentioned, the Adapter increases the Focal Length by 1.25 and the light is reduced by 1 F-Stop... That means me 600mm Mirror at F-8 becomes 750mm at F-11... The Adapter works for me, but it may not for someone else...Anyway, the issues you have mentioned may be related to what I found out... I will be returning mine for an Adapter from a different Mfg.Good luck to you...
