Van Heusen Mens Dress Shirts Short Sleeve Aviator Shirt Solid Spread Collar

I must admit, it was the price that made me buy this shirt. I like epaulets on my shirts, and this Van Heusen Mens Dress Shirts Short Sleeve Aviator Shirt showed up when I was searching on the Amazon web site. The price was $5.88. That's right; $5.88, as an "add-on item". After doing a double take (twice), I immediately placed a few items I already had on my wishlist, and added the shirt. I was delighted when it arrived. Excellent stitching, the perfect shade of blue, a perfect fit, and especially the price make me a happy customer. Needless to say, I tried finding it again as an add-on item, and have been unable to ever since. It is still worth the price at the currently going price of ~$20.

Shirt fit, however the tail was not long enough, when buying larger size shirts, consideration should be given to the individual is probably tall. This was bought for a 6'4 man, and it is to short in length.

I no longer need these shirts for aviation industry uniform use; but always enjoyed the old VanHusen shirts. Even well after my aviation days, they were great work shirts: looked sharp, wore like iron, easy to care for, very comfortable, & fresh to wear as if they were mostly or all cotton. I had removed the epilets from my stash of old ones & wore them for years in the A/C service business. That said, these look good, but are not what I had come to love. Mostly synthetic, pockets don't function like the old for handily carrying a small notebook (trip log) & pen, & for aviators who need to hang wings & name tags, there are no reinforcements to accomodate regular abuse there. The fit is trim, which seems a rare find nowdays.

Very nice shirt, fits well, if you don't have protruding belly. This Aviator shirt is different from Van Heusen's Commander in that the Aviator's two pockets are sewn closed at top (flaps unbutton), the strips of cloth on shoulders seem 1-inch more to the front and this shirt has more poly than cotton. I have both styles and like both. Feels like it could last a long time.

Needed a uniform blue shirt and Amazon was able to supply the one I need and on time. The shirt fit well and was comfortable. Very pleased with the shirt and Amazon for their ability to deliver quickly.

Fits as expected and the fabric is good quality. It is well made and I would order again.
