Very intense colors
I am so happy with this color. I bought few other tubes from schimncke. They are brilliant and intense. It can be used to make so many other colors. I am definitely going to buy more Schmincke colors in the future.

Not as granulating as other brands.
Ultramarine in other brands are granulating. This version is very smooth! I bought this version for portraits and it is perfect.

Ultramarine with Less Granulation
I was looking for a less granulating ultramarine pigment. The Schmincke ultramarine gives me the beautiful color that I want, but without the granulation that exists in other brands. Many prefer a granulating pigment - it's just a matter of preference.

Seems to have less pigment than my usual brand.
I bought this brand because I was told it was less sedimentary. However I find that it's thinner in pigment and therefore requires you to use more paint.
