Syllabus: Notes from an Accidental Professor Paperback – Illustrated, 10 Dec. 2014

I haven't finished doing the exercises in this book but, the ones I have tried have increased my ability to be present. When you do a daily diary as the author suggests you have to collect information throughout your day to be able to effectively document it. I have found myself hearing more, observing more and enjoying my days more. I adore the authors advice in regards to enjoy drawing and appreciate being a beginner and if you work on doing X page stories/work you'll find yourself immersed in some cherished memories, totally a 5 star buy!

I feel like my life is changed after discovering Lynda Barry. So brilliant. This book explains the process behind the courses she teaches, and you can use it to create your own syllabus too.

Treasure trove of creative inspiration for anyone wanting to get into the joy of drawing like a child again.

Wonderful! You can just look at all the amazing illustrations, or try some of the writing exercises yourself.

Not sure what she's trying to teach us, is it just copies of her notes for the course?
