I'm very impressed with this capsule. It's the perfect size to substitute for my Dolce Gusto machine and it's totally compatible. I've used it with Lavazza Espresso ground coffee, and it does a great job of creating a nice rich flavour. Obviously it's never going to be exactly like an espresso from a real machine with pressure, but it's not too far away as a substitute espresso or americano. I do recommend it for convenience.

Having received a Dolce Gusto machine late last year, I found myself spending a lot on capsules, so I decided to try and find a reusable pod. I didn't want plastic (worried about microplastics), and this one seems to be from a brand with a website, so grabbed it.First couple of times, it produced horrible, weak, watery coffee. Until I realised, you NEED to tamp HARD. Much harder than you'd expect. Once I figured this out, it genuinely started pouring some really nice espresso, with foam at the top and everything. Just don't let it run too long, or you get the wateryness.It's a bit tricky to line up in my machine, and it's gotten stuck once, but not a big deal. The only real sticking point is that it's a pain to prep and wash each time! And I've even found myself occasionally going back to capsules. All in all, it's worth it, especially if you enjoy a good espresso (or double). Just remember to tamp HARD.

I purchased this refillable capsule with the main aim of getting better coffee from my dolche gusto machine. This capsule is fantastic, simply fill with pre ground coffee (about 8grams) I used Taylor's of harrigate ESP ground coffee and 200 degrees coffee (ground in store for espresso), tamp down with supplied tamper, put silicone lid on, pop capsule in like you normally would and flip lever to start the machine. The results are truly amazing compared to dolche gusto pods, Proper coffee with taste. For an even better and closer to espresso drink I freshly grind beans with a hario skerton pro hand grinder on finest setting and this enables me to get the flow to resemble the flow of honey. The capsule is very easy to wash with just a rinse under the tap, The only negative about this product though is that this capsule only produces enough for a single espresso but I cannot see how you could produce a double espresso without buying 2 reusable capsules, 5 stars from me 😊

It's an ok product. Easy to clean, easy to fill. But how you fill it is crucial. And I'm still figuring that out. Sometimes the coffee is coming out of it like it's a sprinkler "watering" our kitchen counter. Not going to buy it again, but it's not so bad that I won't use it.

I was really excited to receive this item and start using it, to try to cut down on plastic waste from the Dolce Gusto coffee pods, but what a disappointment it turned out to be! The product itself is nicely made and packaged well but I will never use it again! The reason being... I did everything absolutely right, to selecting the correct mini filter, to the grind of coffee, to ensuring the lid was fitted correctly on the stainless steel pod and lined up correctly in the "drawer", but it spluttered coffee all over the place and then I couldn't get the pod out of my machine! I thought that it was going to be stuck forever and if I DID manage to get it out, that it might've broken the needle (which pierces the covering on the regular pods), rendering the machine useless! I was in complete panic but finally managed to remove the MADAMA pod and needless to say, I am very reluctant to try it again. The coffee that did come out looked like dish water and tasted revolting. Hugely disappointing and a complete waste of money.

I LOVE it !! I made an espresso with this pod with the highest scepticism but man was I very pleasantly surprised or WHAT !I never liked the flavour of pod coffee, I just used it for convenience & " froth" & strength. The mokka pot doesn't give froth to the espresso !Anyway, I ground fresh beans, filled the reusable pod with the coffee, fitted the espresso filter et voilà! The intensity, the flavour & the little espresso froth on the top - it made the perfect espresso! I'm loving it. I'm also saving a tonne on capsules now which- I don't know are filled with what kind of coffee ! So I can now just use any beans I like & it will make the PERFECT espresso !Fits my machine perfectly too. I'm ordering the pack of 2 now. I can't wait to try this with more types of coffee / beans. Suddenly my machine is much posher, hehe.Thank you for making the product & I'm LOVING it !So pleased !

After some trial and error with mine, I have got the hang of using this pod and can make a fairly decent espresso. My usual preference is for a medium roast blend. For this pod I need a stronger blend or the resultant espresso is too weak for my taste. The pod comes with 2 internal filters; I've used both but found the filter with fewer holes pretty messy to use. This isn't a problem with the other filter, the machine dispenses pretty cleanly. Over-filling the pod will cause it to make a mess and potentially get stuck in the machine. If this happens leave the pod to cool down in the machine, I've found 'stuck' pods come out pretty easily once they have cooled a little. Overall I'd say that if you are trying to reduce your single-use plastic use and are prepared to experiment a bit then this pod could be just what you are after, I do really like mine now.

I have been using this product for around two months and have been really pleased with the quality of this product. It is very well made and the added extras such as the coffee press and ring holder to help press the coffee are a fantastic addition. I have seen some reviews with people complaining about spillage and this is true to an extent. I found that it takes some getting used to how you pack the coffee to ensure that the lid can close completely. if you over pack, the lid will be slightly raised and will cause spillage to occur. Also if coffee gets attached to the part of the lid that goes inside the pod, it will not close properly so you must make sure it is completely clean, (same problem if the lid is slightly wet, ensure its completely dry). If you take care of all of these situations you will have no spillage from your machine and it will produce a great espresso. The customer service was also fantastic as i accidentally lost one of the filters, i contacted Madama and they offered to send me a pair of replacements free of charge which is amazing. All in all, this is a great product and I would not waste anytime testing out a different brand as this does the job perfectly.

Dit leek me een goede oplossing voor mijn ochtend koffie. Het systeem ziet er goed uit, maar de werking is nog een dingetje. Ik ben al een hele tijd aan het vogelen hoe het nu precies het beste moet. Meer koffie, minder koffie...Het afsluiten (''deksel'' er op) gaat moeizaam, hij draait steeds als de houder in het apparaat gestopt wordt en het zetten gaat super langzaam, druppelsgewijs. Het lijkt wel of mijn apparaat het niet aan kan. Ik geef het niet snel op, want een pak koffie is nu eenmaal goedkoper dan al die losse cups.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Aanvulling na een week.Volgens mij heb ik het nu uitgevogeld. Voor mijn apparaat niet de koffie aandrukken, maar door tegen het cupje te tikken dit te egaliseren. De siliconen deksel even flink onderhanden genomen door hem soepeler te maken. Hij gaat nu makkelijker in de cup, blijft op zijn plek en het probleem is verholpen. Gaat nu prima. Het zal waarschijnlijk voor ieder Dolce Gusto apparaat .anders zijn, naargelang de druk die het apparaat opbouwt. Niet te snel opgeven dus. Prima uitvinding.

The product is really good, I use it on daily basis, the manufacturer should mention the coffee grind number required as initially when I had done the fine grading coffe it didn’t gave me the right result but then I used the grading as 6 and 7, hence now the coffee is perfect as we get in star bucks, haaa certainly I am using the beans also from star bucks. Anyway I am happy with the product but it’s bit expensive that’s the only one drawback, Madama should give 2 sets in the price of one. Thanks anyways
