I like having my phone nearby when I'm in the pool. It's supposed to be a waterproof phone, but the rubber part around the charging port cover came off recently so I don't trust it around water now. I just got this this afternoon, so I haven't been outside with it yet. But I soaked it with a tissue inside and it came out dry after about 40 minutes. The screen still works perfectly, in fact I'm typing this review through this waterproof case right now just for kicks. The compass is a cute little add-on and it works, I just have to angle it right for it to spin because it gets stuck. The lanyard is great because I can just put it over my neck if my hands are full. The armband also works fine, but this phone is so big on my arm that I may not use it that way. I have a Sony Xperia z3v and was afraid the phone would be too big, but it's perfect. My phone is white like the case, so it matches and looks cool too. So far so good!UPDATEI've had this case with me by (and in) the pool on and off all summer, and have had no issues. The phone screen works well when inside this case, as long as it's above water. It doesn't work very well *under* the water, like for taking pictures, because I guess the weight of the water presses in on it and erratically taps on certain parts of the screen. It takes me from the camera out to my home page and into some random settings or apps so I have to pull it out from the water before it gets me into trouble! But I don't need underwater pictures. It still works as it should, and is still recommend it.

I like this. I use mine when on the kayak. I tested it with a Otter Box Commuter case for my iPhone 6 plus with a paper towel in place of the phone. I didn't see myself taking the phone out of the case to use this, so I wanted to see if it fit and worked. It did. I went swimming in the lake with it around my neck, swimming down to about 10 feet under water. After a 15 minute test, not a drop of water got it. Again, my intended purpose is to use it out of the water on a kayak, so I figured if it passes that test, it will work for me. Because of the phone case, I put the phone in upside down so that my camera was in the clear plastic area, so I'm still able to take photos with it and use it while inside the case. The home button is behind the white part of the plastic, but I can still use it fine. If I didn't use it with the case, I'm sure I wouldn't have to put it in upside down. I've posted a few FB live videos out on the kayak with it already. as well as taking lots of photos. I feel confident if I was to overturn, my phone would be protected. The string that attaches the lanyard to the waterproof case is thin. I'll eventually use another lanyard with a clip. And the compass has never worked. I didn't buy it for compass however.

I purchased two, one for me and one for my sister. Mine was perfect but when I gave the second one to my sister we discovered that it was broken. The black long piece on top came off in her hand when she opened it up. Mine was connected so I know it wasn't supposed to do that. But overall this is great. I put my phone in it when I go to the gym swimming pool. I take it to find water exercises. I can scroll though a web page easily and it it definitely waterproof. I even put my Fitbit in it and stuck it in my swimsuit so it would count my steps. it was under water for an hour and there was no sign of water seepage. If you want to take anything electronic with you to the pool, this is a must have. It's also great to have the lanyard when I'm working out on the weight machines. I put my phone in upside down and plug in my earbuds. This by the way is NOT waterproof because I can only be clipped on one side. But it's great to not have to carry my phone from machine to machine in my hand. It just hangs there nicely while I get to enjoy some music.

Works well for waterproofing. Usability while wet has some issues. 1: can't use fingerprint scanner, 2: can't use the flash to take pictures as it creates a smoke/blurry picture. Pictures without the flash seem to be perfectly fine. Since I plan on using it on a snorkeling trip, I am a little disappointed that I won't be able to use the flash.Update: product was kind of a bust when it came to taking underwater photos. The water made it extremely difficult to swipe, zoom, select photo type, etc. Basically I had to set my phone to never turn off and open the camera app before we went into the water with it. Even still, the swiping was very inaccurate and would often select the wrong selection than what I intended. The pictures came out pretty decent once I got it set up, but I admit it was quite frustrating that you couldn't use the phone in the pouch while fingers were wet. It was only good for just pressing the shutter button. Zooming in and out under water was just too much of a hassle and I gave up trying. On the plus side, it is well made, thick plastic, and kept the phone completely dry.

I have to say - I am very impressed with this waterproof phone case. I bought this for my trip to Iceland, particularly for the Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, I did not have time to napkin test before I left; when I used this case with my phone for the first time, I really put a lot of faith into it that it would keep my phone safe and dry!The case is easy to open and to close, and comfortably fits your phone. I use an iPhone 5s, so that definitely fits. It comes with a strap, which you can wrap around your wrist or wear around your neck. During my trip to the Blue Lagoon, I was able to use my phone, take photos, and even dunk the case under the water. My boyfriend and I stayed for over an hour and during that time, there were no leaks at all in my phone case.Overall, for the price, you can't beat this phone case!
