Avene Cicalfate+ Repairing Protective Cream, 40 millilitre

Brilliant cleared up my perioral dermititis a treat... I now use it whenever I have a cold or my skins starts to redden around my mouth or nose. It is a miracle cream. You need a tiny bit under your normal face cream etc. It goes everywhere with me. Highly recommend

This stuff is incredible for sensitive or irritated skin. I've used it to heal sores, small patches of eczema and burns (probably not recommended by the manufacturer or health service but works for me) and it's the only thing that actually helps when my skin's natural barrier is compromised or when I've had an acne breakout that refuses to heal on its own. It's thick and greasy going on but sinks in quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturised. The switch from the previous metal packaging to a plastic tube is welcome too, since the old one would frequently split and leak. Really pleased to find it on Amazon at a decent price and with prime delivery.

Like other reviews my tube is full of a clear liquid which pots out when you open it. When you shake the tube is also sounds like it is full of water. The cream is hard like sudocream and cannot be used. This is not like my other tubes of this same cream bought from boots etc. doesn’t help that the tube, box and instructions are all in French. Dave yourself hassle and buy in boots. I had to get a refund on this as I definitely wasn’t putting it near my face. Disgusting

I have always used this one that's why I asked for it again it leaves my face very soft and beautiful.

I think I found myself a new moisturiser, if you’re looking for a new face moisturiser - I’d recommend this, because it’s really good for sensitive skin, no irritation at all. Although I would say you’d need a decent amount when applying as the formula is quite thick but it absorbs into the skin quick, so add more as you go along until face is all covered then give it time to sink in. Face never felt so smooth and soft even by next morning. Works well under SPF and make up too!

Incredible cream. I have been quite lucky spots-wise most my life but somehow I ruined my skin barrier and just kept getting spots and perioral dermatitis flare ups. This cream completely fixed my skin barrier and I haven’t had any dermatitis since. I use it every morning as my first cream before any primer/makeup. If you have sensitive skin or just feel like your skin barrier needs repairing I highly recommend

Bought to add a bit of extra care to my skin care routine but found it no better than any of my lower priced supermarket buys. It’s thick so take a moment warming and spreading evenly. On the upside it’s handy to take travelling. So you can chuck it in the toiletries bag easily. Don’t expect much other than being a few quid lighter.

Really nice one. I have atopic dermatitis which leaves my skin overly sensitive to... everything I may apply on it and prone to dryness. This one feels kinda fatty but not clogging my pores, moisturizer well when thiner creams failed. Would definitely buy again.

I have acne from hormonal/autoimmune issues, as well as eczema. I just had knee surgery & between the paid killers, hormonal acne outbreak, and not being able to shower/wash my face as much for a few days, and im not able to do a lot right now and caught myself picking at my face out of boredom. I caught myself way too late and my skin was raw, very irritated, open acne wounds, and even my sensitive skin face washes and face moisturizers were BURNING. I got to the point where i was just globbing vaseline on my face just for some relief, but as someone w acne issue that made me break out worse, continuing the cycle just for the slight tempeary relief. I found this stuff after some slight research, didnt read the amazon reviews but product was highlt recommended elsewhere. The first one i ordered was for sure expired or something, even doing methods in the reviews didnt work, but i stlll used it as much as i could until the replacement came becasue i was desperate, and they replaced it quickly & easily, and I put it in a hot pot of water for 10 mins, took it out and shook viciously and then massaged the bottle around with the cap on for a few, shake again, repeat. After I did that process 2 times I opened it and the consistency was AMAZING and it felt so much better on my face. The first bottle definitely helped my face but it left an awful greasy feeling on my skin and as other reviews said was very watery but the oil part was kinda like dry almost. But the second bottle I have 0 complaints at all. The replacement bottle & the relief it gave me and the speed it helped my skin heal was worth the price & all the hassle. I usually dont leave reviews, let alone ones this long (and this is my mom's account, not even mine) but this product was so wonderful I had to share. Pics for reference, I saw visible results in 2 days, this is about a week in. (I still have been slightly picking at my face, otherwise itd probably look even better)
