Clotted Cream - 1oz (Case of 12)

I was just curious to know what Brits like about clotted cream as the clotting part sounds like a heart attack. So I ordered it made in the UK to see if it is nice. It is really nice but of course there is that heart attack aspect as this is the ultimate creamy rich cream. Because it is so expensive I will not be having it often. Also, there is the health risk so if you have any artery clogging issues you will want to go with light whipped cream instead or skip entirely But I am so happy that I tried this once, anyway. It is in the category of fabulous but suicidal food. Like deep fried cheese.

I love these individual packages. I was a little nervous as I didn’t get the expedited shipping and live in the West Coast ( the expedited shipping was only a day faster for an extra $20 so I decided to take a chance). I put them in the fridge right away and they taste fantastic. They don’t expire until next year so they’ll be long gone by then. The cream is almost too thick in these small ones so you can extend it a bit and not sacrifice quality by adding a little heavy whipping cream. I will buy again.

Shipped quickly and was very well wrapped. Not sure about ordering in warmer weather but I received it at an appropriate temperature and was able to try it directly after receipt. Very nice! Doesn’t beat rustic home made but it’s a fantastic option to have on hand because it has a great shelf life as long as it hasn’t been opened.

There is nothing more elegant than Clotted cream so when our church decided to have a Christmas Fair last week I decided to make scones. I then discovered the small jars of Clotter Cream and such a beautiful addition to the box of scones.

These little jars are very cute. Arrived with a cold pack that was lukewarm. Put bottles into fridge immediately. Tried to spread the cream on homemade scones. It didn’t spread well and tasted horrible. Unfortunately, I had given some homemade scones and four little bottles of cream to the neighbors so I couldn’t return them. The neighbors thought the scones were wonderful but the cream was terrible. We threw all of the bottles away. Don’t waste your money!

My family loves clotted cream with my homemade scones. But whenever I would buy the regular-sized jar of this, we'd only use up about half the jar and it would eventually go bad in the refrigerator (and nobody likes a science project in their fridge 🤢☣️). It's not like you can eat scones every single day, no matter how good they are. These individual sizes are perfect, and we can each get our own jar.

Purchased this after falling in love with Clotted Cream in England. The taste is spot on, but was disappointed when it arrived completely liquified. It firmed up in the fridge and tasted fine, but we worried we'd all get sick. It came with an ice pack that was completely melted as well. I'd just caution future buyers to not purchase if it's going to be hot outside. The company didn't do anything to compensate, apologize or return the cream.
