NP-F750

I've purchased a number of Wasabi Power products in the past, and so it was a no-brainer for me when I needed some Sony NP-F series batteries for some LED video lights I purchased. I have a fairly long history with the company, and I've never had a problem with anything I've purchased. These batteries, the NP-F750s, provide a long battery life for my lights (1.5 to 3 hours) depending on which light I use. Obviously, the light that pulls more power last the shortest amount of time. They're a bit hefty, so I have to take that into account when mounting the lights on my boom poles, which could make them tip if I don't use a sandbag, but that's to be expected when you're purchasing the higher-capacity batteries. One downside, if it is a downside, is that the batteries take a long time to charge. I don't know if this is due to the charger not pushing enough amps to charge them quicker, or just because the batteries hold so much juice, but I basically had to leave them overnight to charge up fully. The other issue I had, when comparing to other brands, is that WP products tend to me a little bit more expensive. Not much, but a couple of dollars. Because I know the company and have a history with them, I felt that it was worth it to spend the extra money for the peace of mind that I have. A new customer might overlook them due to the slightly higher cost.

I am coming to trust Wasabi batteries and chargers. I have a couple for various Nikon bodies that I own and they have yet to fail me. They also come with a 3-year warranty which means that six months from now, I will contact the seller and have them replaced if necessary. They seem to take forever to charge but, they take just as long to fully discharge. Worth the time, money and effort. Use them once and you will come to like them as much as I do. Highly recommended.

This is a review of the Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Sony NP-F730, NP-F750, NP-F760 and NP-F770. I've purchased a variety of other Wasabi batteries over the years... for my GoPro, a camcorder and an LED video light. In all cases the quality and performance of the Wasabi batteries has equalled or exceeded the OEM batteries and the cost is usually about half the OEM battery. This particular battery follows in that tradition. I have an LED video light that uses a Sony NP-F750 battery. A single Sony NP-F750 battery costs around $45. For about the same price I got the Wasabi battery combo. It includes 2 batteries that are the equivalent to the Sony battery plus it includes the AC Charger and an auto adapter. It works well and was way less expensive as the Sony battery. Thanks Wasabi for providing such great performing batteries at such a great price.

Good price and product. So far so good. Using it with my Yongnuo LED light wand (sorta like a Westcott Ice Light, but better)

I use these batteries in a SmallHD Focus SDI monitor and they last about 6.5 hours with the brightness at 100%. Given the wattage of the monitor and the capacity of the batteries that is exactly what I would expect. The batteries take about 9.5 hours each to charge which is again what I would expect given the 500mA output of the included charger. Blue Nook sent me another charger at no cost to see it would charge any faster but the charge time was exactly the same. Again exactly as expected. Bottom line is the batteries and charger perform to spec and if you don't want to wait 9.5 hours for them to charge you will need to purchase a rapid charger. I will be buying more Wasabi Power batteries and a rapid charger.

It does the job but if you're going to use it to operate a video light system, my recommendation is to get one with more mA. But he's a very good product for the price. UPDATE 2026 I purchased this Wasabi Power 2-pack battery and charger set in 2020 and they’re still working well. The batteries fit my Sony gear properly and the charger is simple and easy to use. Battery life is solid for the price, and they’ve been reliable for video shoots and long recording sessions for monitor not for lights. For what you pay, this kit is a real bargain compared to original brand batteries. The only downside isn’t the product itself, but availability. Amazon no longer ships these batteries to Puerto Rico, which is frustrating because I’d gladly buy them again. As for performance and value, I’ve had no issues over the years. Pros: • Still working well after years • Good fit for NP-F series devices • Easy to use charger • Solid battery life for the price • Great value compared to OEM batteries Cons: • Amazon no longer ships these batteries to Puerto Rico • Not OEM, so capacity may vary slightly Conclusion: This Wasabi Power battery and charger set has been reliable, affordable, and long-lasting for my needs. If you can get them shipped to your location, they’re a great value alternative to original Sony batteries.

This batteries are good, mines are 5 years old and were working great. The next pack will be Wasabi.

Typically I don't mind using more inexpensive products if they come with good reviews and save me some money. However that philosophy didn't end well with this purchase. The batteries seemed to work well and still do, but the battery charger was a hassle from the beginning. It would barely stay plugged in to any outlet no matter what I did, would often just fall off / out of the outlet, and after only 1 month of use the charger just stopped working. It actually stopped working while I was on set leaving me scrambling and in a bind. Buy this product for the batteries, but do not trust the charger. Get another option.
