Nice buy
I love that it is compatible with my Mac. I can watch dvd....My only negative is that it needs to be on a flat surface or it skips back to the beginning

Junk DVD/CD Drive
I was unable to get even one track on a CD loaded into my MacBook Air. I've been using Apple's version of this product successfully for years and thought a backup might be good since Apple no longer sells it. Turns out this is just a piece of junk. If you're thinking of buying a CD/DVD drives, this shouldn't be the one.

No Documention
No instructions came with this device and the manufacture offers no help on their web site. From reading reviews I learned that there are some controls at the top of the screen, if you plug it into a USB 3.0 port. The controls do not appear when using older ports.The best I can say about this device is it works, once you discover how to make it work.The video that Amazon links to this device is useless.

speedy delivery
I'm not the most computer literate. So I was disappointed that there were no instructions. Most would laugh at that comment. But my first attempts to start a DVD failed. Nor was I able to eject the video. After several attempts at doing the same thing, it suddenly started and I had a full screen with all the prompts at the top of the screen to be able to eject when completed. Hoping the frustration is behind me.

Worst purchase I’ve made in a long time
Piece of crap. Constantly spots the CDs out. It’s like a crap shoot trying pushing the disc in over and over until it takes and reads it. When ripping to files the reader is crazy slow. I would have returned this but I opened and used it after the window closed.
