Update: 12/20/22 received the combo pack. It is authentic canon and worth every penny. Using non canon ink can cause issues with the printer reading the ink. So always use authentic canon. Yes it’s expensive for the combo pack, but I only need this pack once a year for all my printing that I do. So it is worth it. This is authentic cannon ink, that works perfect. I’ve purchased many ink cartridges on Amazon for my cannon printer. I’ve always gotten the Original Cannon inks to be certain I wouldn’t have any trouble, and never had any issues. If you purchase the ink tanks that aren’t cannon to use in the cannon printer, sometimes the printer will reject the ink and not read them. So I always go with the original inks. Got the price and the amount of pages this ink can print, it’s worth it!

Expensive but consistently reliable cartridges for the printer. I’ll attempt to use off brands to save on cost.

I hate paying for printer ink, always have. I think it's the biggest ripoff we have to suffer as consumers. I use these cartridges on my Canon MG5700 printer at home, and am on my third pack so I think they last pretty well. There are generic or refill packs that claim to work but I like to stick to the proper cartridges, that's just me. When I ordered these back in January 2016 they were $47.50 + tax, now they are $55 + tax so not a huge increase. IMPORTANT The pack contains 4 cartridges, you will notice that your printer takes 5. So even after replacing the 4 with the new pack you may still keep getting the "cartridge empty" warning from the BK cartridge if it's low, or empty. This will not stop you from printing in B&W or Color, but can be annoying. It's a little confusing but the 4 thinner cartridges are ALL #271 but the PGBK is #270, you don't have to worry as it comes like that in the pack, just be aware if you were to order cartridges separately. What's the difference between PGBK and BK? PGBK ink is intended for uses like text, it's smudge resistant and good for fine lines. BK ink is intended for photographs, it's richer. The printer defaults to PGBK for text, lines etc - unless it thinks they are part of a photo. So, you can force a Canon printer to use BK ink instead of PGBK by telling it that you are printing a photo onto plain paper. I thought my marraige was in shambles, I thought after my dah died that my life would be over. And then the unthinkable happened. While trying to print cute pictures of dogs wearing the classic Mexican garb of the "mariachi," I saw the red glow. Why? Why had my God forsaken me! I made sure that my stocking were hung with care, I had left the cookies and milk out. I then realized that my milk had expired after thanksgiving. All that came out of the glass was a glob of glue that couldn't be considered milk more than a soft cheese. During my pondering of this hell-scape I had found myself a new initiate of a glint of jingle bells. Santa had hacked my wifi-enabled printer and used all the printer ink on elves with jazz flutes and something more along the lines of "naughty santa" coal would have been better.. but this I thought all wad over until I saw the beautiful brown truck with the mustard letters-no, dijon mustard! With a smile from Tom Cruise himself! And inside this beautiful box was INK glorious ink! Beautiful hues of cyan, magenta... even yellow and two blacks! Only a madman would have been able to scheme two different blacks! My hell became a dream. A dream so surreal that every bump and bruise along the way felt worth it. My dog's tragic chocolate-fondue-fiasco. The teenagers and their constant jeering of my promotion to assistant-assistant manager of the McDonald's. It was all worth it. Thank you Canon, and thank you Mr. Tom Cruise.

We liked the exterior packaging - the box did not have ink, and the label removed easily. We also liked the various ink tank options; historically we bought package with 2 sizes of black, and we no longer need that much black

Buying the set is more economical than buying each individually. Also, I had tried in the past to get the cartridges refilled, but found that was jamming my printer. Getting the Canon inks has proven to be the best since now my very old Canon printer performs perfectly. So the adage, "pennywise, pound foolish" was my realization.
