Fantastic Stuff, Easy to Work With and Great Results
This stuff is fantastic! It's my first time using silicone to make molds, but the Ecoflex-30 was so easy to use, I had no problems with any of the molds. The silicone picked up every detail. I wasn't concerned about bubbles (no vacumm or pressure was used), but to my surprise there were very little if any in most of the molds. Those that did have bubbles, they were tiny and certainly did not affect the quality of the mold at all. Mixing was easy, but be sure to make sure to stir each original container before each use (this is mentioned in the directions and on the containers). I used separate cut solo cups for each part (A + B) to measure, stir again and then mix into one. The working time was easily 20 minutes (prob much longer). I did add some unused left overs into a mold after about 45min-1hr and there was no indication/issue in the final mold. All gell'd together nicely. I'm impatient, so I usually pulled the molds at 4 hours (in a 65F degree room) and they looked great. If I weren't so impatient, I'd probably let them go another couple hours - Some recommend a full 12 hours to be safe. The silicone is very stretchy, but also very strong. I tested one that I stretched to easily 4x its size, and it held up great. I've only had the stuff for about 2 months, but the silicone mixtures are still good (used some today). I'm not sure of the shelf time, but the container does warn that it has a short shelf life. Will definitely order more.

Good for small projects
I had wanted to work with silicone to make soapmaking molds for quite some time, but being rather frightened to take the first step, I hesitated. I had a soap challenge that required using a medium such as this. Although this is a small test sample batch, it worked well for what I used it for. I found the directions easy to follow. You just mix the two catalysts together and pour them into/over what you want to make a mold of. You let it set until it has had enough time to harden, and then peel it off of your items that you want to make a mold of.Although the directions state that a release agent is not usually necessary, for fine detail, I found that it wold be beneficial. I did happen to have some so that was helpful as the silicone tended to stick. This package only includes part A and part B to mix together to make a silicone mold. It does not include any cups or other containers to put your mold into. That is what I expected. I just used plastic cups to mix this in. I would also make certain that you do this in a well-ventilated area. The package contains 2 lbs of mixes. The ratio to mix is 1:1. It doesn't come any easier than this.

Product is good
Ok, So the first one I ordered came in a plastic bubble wrap bag and go figure what the postal service did to this on a two day shipment? well there was silicone all over the place when I opened it. btw silicone is NOT fun to clean up. This is not an item that should be packed in a bubble wrapper vs a box. **However** Amazon was super quick to refund this debacle at no cost to me, so very happy about that. I re-ordered the product from the same vendor, cause well I still wanted it and this time it was packed properly in a box. Now for the product itself , I honestly really like it. A good product at a pretty good value as far as silicone goes. seems to get really good detail , haven't had bubble issues and doesn't seem to cure too fast or insanely slow. It will need to sit for a couple hours so if you need a quicker cure time than that I would suggest you look at a different product in their line up. I'm personally really pleased with this. I use it to make parts for cosplay or copies of parts for miniatures scenery etc. when I run out I'll buy this again , ill just hope it comes in a box lol. 4 stars due to the uncertainty of shipping

Great stuff for casting molds.
Great end results, very easy to use but rather expensive. I have very few bubbles and the ones that I can see are very small. Can be easily tinted with acrylic paints in very small amounts to resemble flesh or what ever your making. EcoFlex 30 is very stretchy and yet semi dense which is good for doing hands and feet so they hold their cast pose.Working time is very good. I like to mix up my batch by first adding part A, adding some color and then adding part B. Mix thoroughly and let sit a few minutes. When I pour, I like to just allow a little stream to flow into the mold to help release any trapped bubbles and prevent new bubbles created by pouring too fast. With a foot mold, Ill add some EcoFlex to the mold and move it around to coat the inner surface and then fill the mold a little more to ensure I allow any bubbles around the toes to release. When possible, Ill even set the mold with the toes pointing downward to ease filling with out trapped air. Slow and steady gives excellent results.I really wish it was just little cheaper and larger 2X amount was available with out placing 2 separate orders.

Flexible, tough and easy to use
This stuff is fun to work with. It is super flexible and super tough. I made mold out of PVC and plastic plumbing parts. At first I was worried about not using a release agent but it came out very easy. I would actually recommend not using a release agent. I tried one batch and the product did not cure correctly. It retained a tacky, almost slimy surface. It is also very easy to mix. I used a paper cup with a pen mark to indicate the fill point, not very accurate but every mold came out perfect. Additionally it has a long enough cure time to adjust features of the mold or add a little extra if you didn't mix quite enough on the first pour. There are several types of this product so be careful what you order. The box is always the same and some of the product identifiers are very similar. For instance, this is a 00-30 Soft Platinum. There is another mold making type called 00M00 30, quite different in final cure properties but very very similar in packaging and description. Get the right stuff.
