Like-New Echo Dot (3rd Gen) - Smart speaker with Alexa - Charcoal

Arrived rather promptly for a refurbished dot with free Amazon Shipping. Setup took only 5 minutes with my Echo Dot 3rd Gen with my Fire 16gb tablet (latest model) and everything worked great. The volume and bass is a huge improvement over the 2nd gen dot, something that well it's not a product from the big "B" that makes speakers but its convincing enough to let you know it has clear bassful audio at loud volumes.The one thing that is a drawback is that I like to listen to Dr Laura Call of the Day and she would play back episodes which sometimes I want to hear them play in backward sequence. Now this dot only plays the latest episode but will no longer play back episodes back to back from Tune In. A slight disappointment but I can always go to the source for that or if I want to listen to the latest episode I can ask Alexa to do that.I do like that it replaces my FM radio that many of the stations I listen to, Alexa can play them. So I'm happy with that.Overall this was a fantastic value and I'm happy I was able to snag it at the promo price it was selling at. Love Amazon products.

I have 3 of these units around my house and needed a replacement as one of the little ones and their friends got a little too rough around one of the speakers and short story, I needed a new one. I purchased a refurbished one and honestly you wouldn't even know the latter. There weren't any scuffs or signs of use and came in it's original packaging. Speaker works great, still overall good sound to listen to music.If you're replacing a current one and you're trying to cut corners on the finances, you can purchase this with confidence.If this is your first one, things to know. The A.I. is pretty intuitive. It really matters if there is a lot of background noise that will affect if and how "Alexa" will hear you. You can set timers, alarms, minders, create shopping lists to look back on, ask for the weather or tim.e. Basically anything you ask, it will pull it up from the internet and give you an 85% accurate answer. If you have it linked up with your amazon account, I'm giving a warning of be careful if Alexa is listening otherwise you will end up with several cases of whatever it is you might have been talking about ie; protein supplements...Overall, good buy, no issues with the speaker that I received.

We now have 2 Echo Dots and one Echo Show (with the optional portable base) in our house, and I LOVE them! We have all of the Echos linked to our home security, and my kids use them daily for music and random general information. The thing I love MOST about having these around the house (and why I’d recommend one in every room, ESPECIALLY if you have teenagers!) is the “Drop-In” and “Announcement” feature! No more do I have to yell up the stairs to see if my daughter is awake for school; no longer do I have to repeat myself 17 times for my son to hear me in his room! I can simply make an announcement (which goes to all of the Echos) or “Drop-In” on an individual Echo! It is WONDERFUL! I can also make sure their alarms are set correctly and change the alarm to something funny for them to wake up to! Needless to say, I am OBSESSED! I need at LEAST one more! I highly recommend the Echo Dot for teen rooms and any Echo anywhere else!

It work great. It looks new and can’t tell that it is a refurbished item. Alexa is now being apart of my daily life. She can answers millions of questions I ever ask her. She reminds me my schedule and wake me up daily. She read me a book daily when I ever asked her. She is pretty much a greatest AI girl. She is amazing. When she don’t know she will say she doesn’t know that. I have multiple versions of Echo. The fit has an ok sound quality. If mostly like to to read you a book daily of listening to the music the most of your time when you are at home. I would recommend the Echo, not Echo Dot. But if you need her do only the daily routine question and answer,weather reports, feel you a joke, you need short conversation with Alexa or set up the alarm; this product will be a right fit for you. It is good enough!!! 30 - 40 bucks to pay for the Artificial intelligence Alexa is such a great deal ever.

This was at a special price because it is refurbished. It was easy to set up using the Alexa phone app. It does a pretty good job with voice recognition. I use the skills to listen to iHeart Radio, TuneIn, Audacy, and SiriusXM. I was using it for a while connected to a Bluetooth speaker in another room, but found that sometimes the device and phone app get a little confused. The phone app turns your phone into another Alexa device and sometimes what you command to one device gets done by the other. I enjoy using the Alexa device. I enjoy using the Alexa software on my phone, but sometimes I can't get it to provide specific podcast episodes. It will play the LAST episode available, but if I tell it to go back two days the software doesn't know what to do. I also connected a set of B&O speakers to the device and the sound created is very full and rich. The internal device speaker is quite satisfactory. Give one of these a try and see how you like it!
