Brodys A/C HVAC AC Drain Line Cleaner, 16oz Bottle, 2 Month Supply

I live on the upper floor in a condo. A blocked AC drain line caused a flood that damaged the ground floor apartment. The drain line is shared by both units. This product is used every six months to keep that drain Line clear. So far so good. Gives me peace of mind. Easy to use. Definitely recommend it.

Have had issues with condensate line clogging. Shop vac'd, sucking the outside and blowing the inside = works ... sometimes 1 cup of vinegar, wait an hour, 2 cups of hot water = works ... sometimes Status was that I could get water flowing, but in 18 days it clogged, again. Even had the original A/C installer send a tech. About pulling the little bit of hair I have left out! You can read the following on the label, but I am on a roll Poured 8 ounces of Brody's into the line, slowly, took a while. Waited an hour. The Brody's had not moved = no room to add water. Sucked outside until finally it moved a little. Poured 16 ounces of hot water, slowly, as it was accepted. Waited another hour. This is not on the label, but since Brody's hadn't moved the first hour I wanted to give it the best chance to succeed. After an hour I sucked the outside and Brody's plus some very dirty water came out. Did not look at all like algae or mold, just dirty. Fingers crossed for the future, but, will revert to the monthly vinegar routine with Brody's as backup.

We used this for the product's purpose. To clean our AC drain line. Worked just fine. The only reason it lost a star from me is because you use 8oz at a time, and the bottle is 16 oz. Hard to tell when you've reached half of the 16 ounces with an opaque bottle. Requires you to use a measuring cup for the first treatment. A clear, see-through bottle with maybe a convenient mark at the halfway point of the bottle would make it easier to use.

I am a AC tech, and have found this to be an excellent product for keeping your AC drip pan clean. Keeping a AC's pan clean is very important for preventing costly water overflows, and ultimately better humidity control. I had my own AC at home experience a algae build up in the drain pan over this past summer. This was discovered by the unit cutting off on the condensate overflow switch. First let me say, you must try to remove the algae in the drain pan, and pipe first before using this product, the cleaner the better. A wet/dry vacuum is extremely helpful in this situation. It will not unclog the drain for you. This product will then maintain a clean pan for you, if you use it as directed.

Product okay but I've received a giant mess twice because the seller needs to make sure the lids are tight and that they have security tape around the top to avoid this. I get the Amazon plastic bags are cheaper than a box but the plastic bag has this bouncing around. Some bubble wrap will help.

I've been using this product for about a year now. It's been solid, easy to use, and I have it on auto-ship with calendar reminders so I make sure to keep my drain clean. I wish there was a clear part of the bottle so you could see how much is left in the container, but other than that its a great product.

I ordered this product hoping it would fix a clogged ac line in the home I'm renting temporarily. The line was clogged, not just draining slowly. I followed the directions on the label (pour half bottle in line and allow to work for one hour, then pour 16 oz of warm water in line). Initially, due to the clog, the water backed up into the unit, but within 5 minutes of pouring warm water in the line, you could literally hear the clog clear and all of the water drain. Well worth the cost! Very happy with result and with the rapid delivery by Amazon.

Absolute trash. I just had to pay to have my ac drain unclogged despite using this entire product as instructed. Never had a drain clog before until immediately after using this product. AVOID!
