A classy upgrade/replacement for large heads thinking they have to wear Holbrook XLs
If you're looking to stop wearing Oakley Holbrook XLs, but felt they were about the only decent sunglasses for your large head, I have great news. These are basically the perfect Ray-Ban replacement for that same size, and similar (but, better imo) look.Tried for weeks to purchase a custom version of these on the Ray-Ban website, but holy hell does their website suck. So many errors that customer service would tell me were their site's generic explanation that some piece wasn't actually in stock for customization. Finally gave up after six weeks, and got these Bordeaux/Dark Violet version here, even if the website is cheaper. The price difference was worth the much faster shipping and zero headaches. Also, the Bordeaux/Dark Violet look great if you are tired of boring black sunglasses. Still very understated while being slightly more elevated by not being the same color everyone else is wearing. It's insane how hard it is to find pictures of people wearing this color (and most non-black colors) online, so just trust me, they look great. Or, maybe I shouldn't say that, as part of their great appeal is how few men wear non-black sunglasses. lol

100% Authentic
Let me just start off by saying that as long as your buying directly from Amazon (so sold and shipped by) there should be absolutely no question as to authenticity. I received two of the three pairs I ordered three days ago (one of these, two pairs of Erikas - the third should be coming tomorrow) and they're perfect. After reading various reviews voicing concerns of authenticity, I made sure that under seller I selected the Amazon option for each pair (a few bucks more than some, but still way lower than the RP). I would highly recommend that if you buy through Amazon that you do the same to ensure a hassle-free and worry-free purchase.I first came across these about a year and a half ago after I somehow managed to bend the frames of my Ray-Ban aviators. I have a larger than average head/face, so as much as I like wayfarers and clubmasters, they really just don't look right. I ended up buying them for full price from a well-known online dealer (best known for their large selection of shoes) and was more than happy to do so. They're really a great looking pair of sunglasses. I gave my first pair a beating over the past year and a half, so it was time that they were replaced. Decided to go through Amazon this time around since I basically got these and a pair of Erikas for the RP of these alone. They're identical to my first pair (dimensions, etching, made in Italy) so I am completely satisfied. Amazon has now officially become my new go-to place for sunglasses.

Should be real if bought directly from Amazon
I bought these sunglasses directly from Amazon. The first pair I received looked like a returned item. When I opened them, there were smears on the lens and both sides of the glasses made that creaking noise everyone is talking about. I emailed Amazon and they sent me a replacement right away. These ones were brand new however one side of the glasses still made that noise. I checked online and apparently this is common with sunglasses with glass lenses.A couple days after I got these, I went to Nordstrom and compared them side by side. I checked all the markings, hinges, and print of the frame's arms and they looked exactly the same. I noticed when I got these that there was no metal rods in the arms of the glasses by putting it up to a light which kind of scared me because I heard the wayfarers had them and assumed these would be the same. I checked the ones from Nordstrom and they didn't have it either so everything checked out. The same exact polarized glasses made a small creaking noise just like the ones from Amazon. However, I noticed that all of the non polarized lenses made no noise at all. I also tested some other model polarized ray bans and they too make that noise when opening and closing the sunglasses.

Absolutely Fake
These glasses came in the mail extremely fast but the quality and authenticity is unmatched. I believed that because Amazon sold the product, it would be the real deal. Nope! I'll list all the things that make these glasses illegitimate:-The glasses came wrapped up in a plastic bag. Real Ray-Bans come in a box with its logo on it. I instantly knew I had a fake pair in my hands.-The "leather" case that housed the glasses felt very cheap and the button on the flap had the wrong font of "Ray-Ban" on it.-The cleaning cloth and booklet are the most authentic looking pieces and its hard to tell if real or not.-The glasses are made of a cheap light plastic similar to glasses found in gas stations or 7-11. It also squeaked a lot.- "Ray Ban P" print on the top left of the frame is the wrong size and font.-The "RB" etching on the right lens is on the outside of the frame. Real ones have the etching on the inside of the lens mean when you put the glasses on your head the etching should be on the lens thats closest to your eyes. Major flaw here.-The hinges that hold the arms to the frame have 5 metal pieces whereas it should have 7.-On the outside of the arms there are 2 temple stamps that should be almost flushed with the arm. However, these glasses have the stamps sticking out about half a centimeter.-And last, the print on the inside left arm which states the model number and is suppose to be closer to the hinge. Also the font is off and this one has the print far away from it.Overall, I would rate these pair of glasses sold by Amazon as Grade B Fakes. To the general public you could get away with these but die hard Ray Ban fans could instantly tell the difference upon looking at it. I would buy these if you want a replica but that's up to you if you want to spend $130 after tax. Thankfully Amazon has a free return policy so there is no harm done here. I will be returning these.
