Sickness and nausea
I was really pleased with the water filter to begin with - it’s a smart design and easy to use. However, a few days after purchasing the product I started feeling nauseous and had some other tummy problems. I didn’t think it was the filter and just carried on drinking it. I then went on holiday for a week and noticed my nausea went. It then clicked with me that it could be the water making me poorly. After a quick google search I found lots of people complaining of gastro problems after drinking the water from the filter so stopped drinking it again and felt better almost immediately. I hardly ever post reviews but wanted to let other people know in case they have similar problems.

Unbedingt die Doku vom NDR anschauen
Leider ein Riesen Fehlkauf. Heute morgen habe ich die Dokumentation vom NDR gesehen und war schockiert! Der Wasserfilter ging sofort zurück! Und dann sollte ich die Rücksendung auch noch selber zahlen! Danke Brita dafür! Überteuerte Wasserfilter anbieten, die anscheinend noch mehr Keime haben als unser Leitungswasser...

Nicht spülmaschinenfest
Wir kaufen uns einmal im Jahr ein solches Jahrespaket und entsorgen anschließend die Kanne. Irgendwann sind die nicht mehr zu reinigen. Bei diesem Modell, was für uns im Januar gekauft haben, sind nach mehreren Gängen in der Spülmaschine sehr viele feine Risse in der Kanne entstanden. Noch ist sie dicht und läuft nicht aus, aber es scheint nur eine Frage der Zeit zu sein, dass sie komplett kaputt gehen wird. Und das, obwohl sie spülmaschinenfest sein soll. Die Qualität der älteren Modelle war deutlich überzeugender.

Black particles (charcoal)
I don't know if it's harmful or not, the black particles keep going out after being cleaned 3 times with a bottle water which contains 2 liters. It does change the taste of water little bit. However, i don't know if it's worth taking risk drinking black particles (charcoal) as compared to buying a bottle of water every time.

Great value for money. Good for one person.
I've had this for 5 months now.Amazing value for money especially because it comes with half a years cartidges. On hot days it's good because you can put it in the fridge. Water tastes much better. I use this just for me but if you are sharing this as a household I'd recommend a larger Brita filter. The only reason why I gave it 4 not 5 stars is because a small amount of water collects under the filter which I find annoying. Handy electronic reader at the top helps keep track of when to change the filter too.
