What type of compressor does this need, oiled or dry ?

I can’t be definitive as I’m no expert. The nailer comes with oil and lubrication instructions. I assume my compressor is dry as there is no oiling point but after a few weeks extensive use it’s all working perfectly.

It don’t say say anything about oil does it come with oil

This is a pneumatic device with an external strike plate. The two sliding parts which move against each other can be lightly oiled as routine maintenance but there is no oil reservoir. A small bottle of light oil comes in the case for the above maintenance. I use my gun for home DIY and expect the oil to last some years.

Is this air operated only? Doesnt use any batteries?

The Brad Nailer operates on compressed air generated by the Makita Compressor. There are many mail guns available on the market that are powered by rechargeable batteries which generally are much more expensive but more flexible and built to fire heavier nails.

What air compressor would i need, iv never used one beffor?

I have a 24 litre compressor that is more than capable of giving extended periods of use even when disconnected from power
