No more damaging blue light!
I have to tell everyone how great these glasses are. They are so sturdily built. I cannot live without them, so I have a few pairs just in case I forget one in a hotel or somewhere else, but so far, I haven't. I take them with me wherever I go as I love to watch TV with them. I have a great way to avoid those awful, bright, blinding hotel lights. With these glasses, my evening at any hotel is so COSY now. I find that I can sleep so much better since I got them, and I have had them for years already. My husband loves his pair as well. We both use the same size, and they mysteriously fit us both so well, even if our faces are very different in shape and size. I have dropped mine a few times, and they are still working great. My oldest brother used to tear at night while watching TV, and I gave him a pair of these glasses, and it corrected his problem. No more blue light damaging our eyes and our emotional self. I find that I feel so much calmer and happy at night when I wear them.

Great Blue Blockers for over glass, beware of glass height
Review of Spectra479 Blue Blocking Fit-Over Glasses I’ve been using the Spectra479 blue blocking fit-over glasses and have been very impressed with their performance. The blocking effect is immediately noticeable—they truly cut down on blue light in a big way, making a huge difference in eye strain and sleep quality. If you're sensitive to blue light, these are a game-changer. The glasses are well made, sturdy, and feel like a quality product. I appreciate that they’re designed to fit over prescription glasses, but it’s worth noting that they don’t fit over every pair. I have two pairs of Rx glasses—these fit comfortably over one pair, but not over the other, which has a more oval shape. If your glasses are taller than approximately 42m (about 1.65 inches), you might have trouble getting a good fit. Overall, I’d definitely recommend them for anyone looking to reduce blue light exposure—just be sure to check the size of your frames first.

Great starter glasses
Great price to see if these fit into your health routine. Quality seems good and should last a while. Comfortable and fit over both of my glasses. The first night I used them I had 3 hours of REM sleep (double what I have normally). That has never happened in the 3+ years I've been tracking my sleep.

Works
These were very effective when I was recovering from a head concussion. They sat over my eyeglasses just fine. Unfortunately, they’re just ugly.

They work great
Really block the blue light and fit over my glasses well.

Not Stylish, But They Do the Job
You won’t win any beauty pageants or start new style trends wearing these, but they definitely block blue light and are fairly comfortable once you get used to them. The oddest part is just adjusting to how everything looks without blue light when you’re watching TV or using a screen. I’m still a little skeptical about how much blue light really messes with sleep, but these certainly aren’t making anyone sleep less. If you like to watch a screen before bed and want to see if blue light is part of your problem, they’re worth a try.

While these do block blue light, they have some drawbacks . . .
After purchasing another pair of fit-over, blue blocker glasses for much less money, I found they wouldn't fit over my prescription glasses - they weren't wide enough. For some reason, no one who sells these glasses on Amazon seems to think that's a relevant issue, so they publish the lens height, the lens width, and the EXTERNAL width of the frame, along with other dimensions - but they DON'T publish the internal width of the frame, which is the maximum width of prescription glasses that these can accommodate. Stating that a pair of glasses "will fit over most prescription glasses" is not useful. In this case, the seller responded quickly responded to my question, so I ordered these much more expensive glasses. So the seller gets full credit for being responsive. When the glasses arrived, I was pleased to find that they do fit over my (apparently) more than usually wide prescription glasses. The seller also gets credit for an accurate response, and the glasses get credit for fitting. These glasses do block blue light quite effectively, so I guess they deserve credit for that - but they have a number of drawbacks. As an aside, I have been a wearer of fit-over sunglasses for more than 20 years, so I have something to compare these glasses with. The ledge above the lens on these glasses, which rests on the top of prescription glasses, is not as deep as that on my sunglasses, and does not curve as much to wrap around my face. As a result, while the lenses block blue light effectively, a great deal of blue light comes in from above the lenses. The same thing happens at the sides of the glasses; the temples, while much wider than those of prescription glasses, are not as wide as those on fit-over sunglasses, so they don't block as much light coming in from the sides. As for the lenses themselves, they are effective at blocking blue light - maybe too effective. The orange lenses on these glasses are much darker than the yellow lenses on other products. Color perception is strongly affected - watching television takes some getting used to, but is moderately acceptable. Where I have greater difficulty is in using the computer. When working with a spreadsheet, any cells that use yellow highlighting simply disappear into the background - everything white on the screen becomes yellow, so it's no longer possible to identify the cells highlighted in yellow. My final nit-pick is with the overall darkening effect of the lenses. If I'm watching television in the living room, and get up to walk to the kitchen, I have to pass through a darkened hallway. The first time I did so wearing these glasses, I actually bumped into a wall. The same thing occurs if I'm working at the computer and want to go to another room - I have to pass through a darkened hallway. These glasses darken overall light perception enough to constitute a safety hazard. Overall, these glasses are well-made, fit me, and do what they say; and the seller is responsive. That sounds like it should be a five-star review. But while the lenses do what they're supposed to, it may be they do it too effectively on the one hand, and the frames manage to let light bypass the lenses. On top of that, these are double or triple the price of similar products. I'd like to give these a better review, but I just can't.

Excellent glasses for better sleep
These glasses are fabulous for regulating circadian rhythm because they truly block all blue light. Yes, everything is much darker when wearing them because they are designed to block blue light properly so if you are interested in improving sleep and circadian rhythm I highly recommend them. These heavy duty glasses are very comfortable over my prescription glasses and even easy to wear in bed after I've taken off my glasses underneath. I listen to meditations or YouTube before falling asleep and so I wear them up until I'm sure I'm ready to sleep and often fall asleep still wearing them because they're comfy. I find some of the negative reviews on this product ridiculous. For example, if you are only using these glasses for computer use, of course they are not going to improve your sleep. You need to wear them continuously until you are in the dark before taking them off. Any blue light exposure will cancel the effect. Another review stated they were too dark. Again, if you want the sleeping benefit these glasses provide then why complain about exactly the reason these glasses work when other glasses that allow more light do not work? I highly recommend these glasses and this seller is excellent, Shawn Severisen, owner of the Spectr479 brand, even emailing me a printable PDF Quick Start Guide and Q&A. It contained some tips and tricks on how to maximize your results. There is also a Blue Blocker Test Strip so you can see how your blue blockers perform. I have been super impressed with the seller and this product.

GOOD ENOUGHT FOR ME
These cut out at least 90% of surrounding light. They sit at the same distance from the face as normal glasses; there are slight margins that are uncovered such as the lower outer edge but these don’t cause a problem. At the top edge of mine there’s 3mm of space above my iris (5mm if I have let them slide down) and 1 cm at the outer corners. I don’t think you could expect much more coverage without having a rubber-sealed-underwater-mask type set-up. Rooms can have either central overhead lights on, or side lamps. Ater popping these on about 2 hours before bed, I tend to go for side lamps if I’ll be there for 15 mins+ and main lights if there for 10 mins or less. The great thing is, if watching a screen with others, the brightness settings can be left as normal for them, while I still have the benefit of greatly reduced blue light. I haven’t found a problem in darkened hallways when there is a little light from another room … I can still see well enough, though I ensure any dark bags are either off the floor or tucked well to the side eg the large one that I use for online returns and my Husband’s work bag. Wouldn’t be without these, now.

Better to avoid
Delivery took 10 days but refund is taking more than that. These glasses will fit only on half frame specs.

Blue light blocked
Great quality! Pretty light and very convenient to you. The difference between this pair and a different pair I used before this one is night and day. The Spectra479 glasses clearly block out blue light and it helps me when I want to start winding down while still using devices at the end of my workday.
