Rough RiderBlackwood Work Knife Large RR1708

It's a kinda-sodbuster that's not too pricey to carry and use. As usual with Rough Ryder, you could use it right out of the box, but if you spend some time sanding and polishing, you end up with a knife that looks and feels way more expensive than it is. The brass fittings contrast perfectly with the dark, smooth wood.

I sharp as hell inexpensive buetiful light weight locking blade

I own more than a few higher-priced lock back folder knives of excellent quality, so I have lots to compare this knife to. I am uncertain of its durability, having just received it. The fit and finish appear fine. It is very sharp out of the box. I understand that some potential purchasers are put off by China as the country of manufacture, but I have seen decent quality coming from them. This Rough Rider is on the smallish side, despite being referred to as large. It fits easily in a pocket for EDC if so desired, no sheath needed. Far and away the one thing that amazes me is the price! I have no idea how a product like this can be manufactured so inexpensively. I recommend purchasing, because at 15 bucks, how can you go wrong?Edit: Less than one month later I see that the price dropped by one dollar to less than $15, so I am a buyer on four more of these sweet, small knives. I will keep them unopened in their original boxes for gifts or for resale or barter. Future supply chain problems might make owning products like this very beneficial.

This knife is well made with better attention to detail and construction than you would expect for the price. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to love this knife as it is such a great value, but the one I received had a warped handle resulting in terrible blade centering and rub. I suspect the wood had not completely stabilized before it was made resulting in the warp. I returned it to Amazon. I'll think about trying another one, maybe, because I really liked the feel of it and the nice thin blade. Might have to buy one of these in person where I can inspect it. I know I'm being a bit picky at this price point but I hate blade rub on a new knife. The lockup action and the rest of the construction is really good, and this knife would have been wonderful if the wood had not warped.

Sharp works well a buy at this price point if you need a name brand buy a Case . This knife does the same job.

For the money, this is a quality item. Nice walk and talk. Wood looks good. No imperfections in mine.
