amazon basics 4-Piece Wood Chisel Set - 1/4-Inch to 1-Inch, Wooden Handle Set of 1

I have always had a mixed experience with AmazonBasics products. However, this was one of the products that turned out to be great. The chisels needed to be prepared before use but it wasn't too difficult. The backs were very close to flat and the bevels were nice and even. It took me about 10 minutes of work on each of them to get them shaving sharp and ready to go. I just wish the set included a 3mm chisel as well for really fine dovetail joints on small keepsake boxes.

Beautiful stuffThese are a great alternative to power tools for carving.Use sandpaper of fine grit (amazon sourced) for sharpening.They are quite sturdy and have a neat handle. What remains to be seen is the edge holding. So far after a month of use they seem pretty good.Like most chisels I understand, these need to be sharpened and initiated before use. Not that they are blunt, just that you dont get a razor edge that greatly helps chiseling. One more need for sharpening is the presence of machining Marks.Great buy.. tempted to buy another set as a gift for my father.. but I doubt he'd use them!

Not put into use sofar. But looking nice. It is my interest and hobby to have and own all types of tools. And situations arises I use them by myself.

Nothing to complain for the price. I got the set for under 1000 rupees. Can be used out of the box for rough work, but needs sharpening for more refined work. The grind on 13 mm chisel is off, but you can't complain much for the price.

High quality, professional level chisel set. While sharpening, getting very little burr, also hard to sharpen which are sign of quality steel. After sharpening, it's cutting wood like butter. Happy with the purchase.Some people complained that they are not delivered with sharp edges, but almost every chisel need to be sharpened before using no matter how expensive they are.
