Skin Trade by Dolph Lundgren

Good film.Being a fan of both Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa, I was really looking forward to this film. It's actually pretty good and far better than recent films such as warrior king 2, or some of the many many Dolph Lundgren films. ( the awful zombie/robot one springs to mind)Dolph is really good in it and it brings back happy memories of his performance in the first Universal Solider film. Tony Jaa's fight scenes are very back to basic with none of the awful CGI which spoilt Warrior King 2.Its not a classic or high budget film, but for action/martial arts fans it ticks the boxes and the fight between Jaa and Lundgren is worth £3.50 rental alone.

Very good actioner which doesn't take itself too seriously, as can be seen by Dolph getting blown up and shot, put into a coma and waking up in a hospital bed, climbing out and promptly declaring war on the bad guys. Tony Jaa shows up well (minus cgi effects), as does the ever impressive Michael Jai White, who does not look out of place alongside Jaa and Lundgren. The two lead actors gel quite well, but if you want to see Dolph do it far better check out his early effort "Big Trouble in Little China" alongside Brandon Lee.

Skin Trade is a slick well made martial arts action flick with a message. This is so much better than the monotonous rubbish that JCVD and Steven Seagal churn out. The fight scenes between Lundgren and Jaa are excellently choreographed, and the story really makes you route for the characters to get and kill the bad guys. A lot of the time in movies of this genre I couldn't care less if the bad guy is killed or not, as the movie is so mediocre. To summarise, good story, great action, well made, acting - well its OK lol,

Not one of Ludgrens best. At times, he looks old / stiff. Maybe he has injuries from his past movies. Can’t be easy for him.

was bit disappointed it wasnt in english but was a gd film now trying to get english version,
