Amerex B456 10 lbs ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher with Wall Bracket

Great units from Amerex, I’m an owner of a fire extinguisher company in Texas we use these all the time in apartments, heavy equipment, on trucks ect. Extremely easy for service anywhere any provider. They are durable and I can’t complain, for anyone looking for a fire extinguisher for there kitchen or vehicle these are perfect!!! Don’t cheap out on some garbage Home Depot brand like first alert or Kidd!! Amerex is going to be the best!

Great size to handle and good price for extinguisher

We ordered five of these for our facility. One came in damaged. We contacted the seller, who refunded the money promptly. We promptly ordered a replacement. These extinguishers are the same quality as the ones sold by our alarm company. They are considerably cheaper. I would highly recommend them.

Before I get into a detailed review about this fire extinguisher. I have to note I ordered two of these and only received one. Amazon is currently contacting the seller for them to send me the other one. So hopefully they get this fixed soon. On the fire extinguisher I did receive. It is big super heavy, and will probably deal with any kind of fire I might have. Going to keep this one in the kitchen. This is definitely not a fire extinguisher for someone that cannot lift. Definitely a fire extinguisher that has plenty of hump behind it. Based on the size it is going to be cumbersome to use but will definitely take out whatever fire you pointed at. Because it has charged to spare. Overall the feel of it is pretty solid. Comes with a basic mounting stand. I only wish that it came with a big strap stand instead of just the basic hook. Overall great fire extinguisher and heavy duty. Hope I never have to use it. For about 1 eighty. Having double the capacity, then the 10 lb. To me is worth it. Considering the 10 lb is 1 hundred. Might as well get the larger capacity.

Like other reviews mention mine also came with the tamper seal broken off. But the safety pin was still in place and the box was glued together with no signs of reglueing. I suspect it's simply shipping damage because everything I can see inside the nozzle opening is spotless. Not a huge deal, it's a good idea to have some extra seals on hand anyway, but would have been 5 stars if I could have used it out of the box without having to wait for another seal to come. Also had a tad bit of paint flaked off the bottom edge, normally I wouldn't care since it's out of sight anyway but along with the broken tag it seems shipping may have been a bit rough. Not great packaging from the manufacturer.

As I was for many years responsible for fire safety in a large community hospital, I know from personal experience that Amerex makes high quality and reliable extinguishers. I intend to buy two more. The unit arrived promptly and undamaged.
