Edit: The mica I bought was made by US ART QUEST and sold by Amazon, LLC. The description still says US Art Quest but the title has now changed to say Notions - In Network. I'm not sure if they changed the product and forgot to change the description. Also, the price is now crazy. If you're paying more than 3,99 for this then they are robbing you - go to US Art Quest's website. (update 06/2016 - product has been updated again to show US art quest and the tube looks correct as of right now.)Comes in a plastic tube that states it is US Art Quest 100% natural, pigment coated, heat resistant, acid-free, and archival quality. I'd say the current picture is representative of what the product looks like. The flakes are mostly about the size of a thumbnail or smaller. I ground mine up with a mortar and pestle to mix into the top of concrete because I didn't want to use the fine powders - I wanted a more coarse effect..

These are larger flakes of Mica. I have the very thin mica chips that are stunning also but this worked perfectly to give something a cracked glass look. Highly reflective, beautiful color, and you can still see the color of something underneath it-if that's what you're going for. I added it over a decoupaged paper clay ornament that I made and it really looks stunning. Also, even though the thin container looks small, It's about 5 inches tall and less than 2 inches wide, they really fit a whole lot of the mica into the container-you have to pull it out. But I don't mind, a little goes a very long way with this. I hope you can see the glow of it in the picture.
