Fresh Roasted Coffee, 100% Colombian EA Natural Decaf Whole Bean Coffee, Medium Roast, Kosher, 2 lb (32 oz)

So my Doctor told me to quite coffee because of elevated blood pressure. Quit Coffee??? Why don't you just rip out my Heart. Well, sigh, Ok. So I went out a bought a decaf blend that met every expectation of what decaf would taste like, Bland, Acidic, Yuk. I knew that there had to be great decaf out there and so I began my search. After checking out several brands, descriptions, and prices, I chose the Fresh Roast Coffee brand. I purchased two pounds each of the Sumatra, Ethiopian, and Colombian. I took equal parts of the three and made a blend. Wow. Now this is some Awesome Decaf Coffee. Rich and Flavorful. I take mine black with sugar and I am not missing out on anything. I will be tasting the individual coffees as I go along but given what I taste now, they will all be great by themselves. I have been decaffeinated now for about a month and now that I have these products, going decaf will not be a problem. Also, now that I have retired, I really don't need that daily caffeine "Liftoff" to launch me through the day. And a definite side benefit, I am sleeping much better through the night. Sounds like a Win - Win to me.

We have been drinking decaf 8 o’clock and Amazon brand coffee. This one is very flavorful. We are not big fans of flavored coffee, and I was a little hesitant of buying it. However, the taste of chocolate and walnuts is barely noticeable,, which we actually like. it is full of flavor, but does not have strong flavors of chocolate and walnuts. Just great coffee.

I drink only decaf coffee for medical reasons and I tried the various types of this brand's coffee (Colombian, Mexican, Indonesian and Peruvian, etc.) I was like the pilgrim wandering in the wilderness trying to find the Promised Land, and I've tried a LOT of coffees, including most on this site, the most well-reputed brand in Atlanta which decafs Kenya AA, etc, and even the decaf Consumer Reports best caf coffee, Blue Bottle, some at twice the price of this coffee. I have also had the rare experience many years ago of actually drinking real Jamaica Blue Mountain (even though his past Xmas i bought JBM lauded almost to a customer on this site, which tasted nothing like real JBM - a good argument for b buying it locally after tastingit.While this coffee doesn't taste like JBM, after all my searchihg, it does taste like the JBM of decaf, even sometimes with he underlying somewhat chocolatey taste of JBM - for JBM, no chocolate you're drinking a fake, and since coffee beans are fungible you should buy your coffee from very honest people, and while I don't know the people who sell this coffee my experience with them suggests that they meet this description.CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT COFFEE AT A FAIR PRICE, HALF OF WHAT SOME OTHERS CHARGE, NEVER DISAPPOINTED IN ANY OF THEIR TYPES, THIS PILGRIM HAS FOUND A HOME, NO MORE STRAYING FOR ME.Technically, I use a French press taking care to let the boiled water rest for 5 minutes to avoid bittereness before pouring it onto the coffee and then letting it steep for 5 minutes more before pouring. This might make the coffee a little less hot for some, so I'd recommend purchasing ani nsulated French press if you use this method, something I need to do although it's hot enough for me now. Always freshly ground and I use a good heavy amount which makes to my taste the excellent cup.

There is no sub for fresh roasted beans. The fresher, the better. Short of doing it yourself or trekking to a local roaster, I've found this brand to be a good compromise for their regular (i.e. caffeinated) beans.The flavor and crema produced in this decaf offering, while still not quite that of a regular bean, is still far superior to the big brands I've tried. Presumably, those are likely roasted months before shipping.One important note: It's definitely not completely caffeine free. I'm pretty sensitive (which is why I often drink decaf) and estimate that a standard 18g puck of espresso producing a single shot has about 10 mg of caffeine.

This is some great decalf. I will definitely order it over and over. Try it and you'll see!

Average flavor, some bitter after taste.

This is an aromatic and flavorful medium/dark roasted whole bean coffee that I can drink any time of day or night without feeling like I'm missing any of the flavor of a caffeinated roast. I've been using another highly-rated and promoted brand, but that one seems over-roasted and flat; this coffee retains much of the same complexity of the best Columbian coffees. I drink ALOT of coffee, so I use decaf coffees to blend with other high-quality whole bean coffees prior to grinding and brewing. I've finally found a decaf that won't diminish the flavor profile of the resulting blend. I WILL be ordering this again.
