Great for enthernet
Great device if your router is too far away from your computer to use enthernet, I get download speeds of up to 450mbps with this, was extremely easy to get set up, it also has good software built in and you can download an app on your phone to acccess it, not sure about the signal strength as I only use it for enthernet to my computer, I have connected it to my phone and the speeds stay basically the same as if I was on the actual internet, definitely worth the price, I went from about 60mbps to over 400mbps.

Great extender once you find the sweet spot.
What I loved: The setup was really straightforward — TP-Link always does a good job with that. Once connected, the coverage boost was noticeable straight away. Dead zones became usable zones, and devices held onto their signal much more reliably. Speeds are solid, especially with the WiFi 6E band available. When it’s in a good placement, it genuinely feels like you’ve extended your main router rather than sticking on a cheap repeater. What made me sigh loudly: Performance depends a lot on where you put it. Move it slightly too far from the main signal and the speeds drop more than expected. Not a deal-breaker, just requires some experimenting to get the best out of it. Should you buy it? Yes — as long as you place it well, it’s a great way to extend coverage and boost speeds around the house. For mesh setups, it integrates nicely and works reliably once dialled in. Easy setup. Strong speeds. Good coverage improvement. Just a bit sensitive to placement. Still recommend — especially for WiFi 6/6E homes needing a coverage boost.

Very good item and Excellent Support
The item itself works very well and provides good coverage. I had a problem with the set up recently when I changed our ISP and the router but the service from the TP Link customer support was excellent. Customer service advisor Irisdianne Butardo was very patient with me and provided step by step instructions on how to re set up the link. Excellent service.

Worth its money
Easy to install and connect to network. Perfectly extends existing wifi network. I use 2 of them to extend coverage of my main router and cover full house.

Possibly not suitable for prolonged streaming / gaming.
This is the 2nd I bought as the first one was giving good coverage. But I am finding now that both drop out the internet signal after being online with my Quest for half an hour or so. Message says 'Connected but can't provide internet'. Now today also I was trying my new FS 2024 on my laptop and again after being online an hour or so through the TP link, the internet suddenly stopped although main VM router was working ok, the TP link again wasn't relaying Internet and the FS program crashed out. It seems that these TP links can't maintain moderate streaming rates as for gaming. I think there were issues with streaming TV as well now, though I hadn't really pinned that down before. But I am thinking now that these routers are ok for general browsing but now robust enough for prolonged data streaming.

Definitely Works!
This tp-link AX1500 Wi-Fi Range Extender has solved our problem. We recommend it. We live in a 3-bedroom flat, with one bedroom used as an office to work from home so signal strength and reliability are critical. Last month we changed our broadband provider and router equipment from Virgin to Sky. The signal in the office got worse which was unexpected as it is not far away but there are two room doors and some furnishings which may obstruct. I was having issues, sluggish, freezing on Zoom calls, audio cut outs, unable to swiftly load multiple tabs/pages. Using the Windows Command prompt, I took over 45 readings of the signal strength coming into the laptop over four weeks. The signal strength was below 69% over half the time and never higher than 81%-85% and then only very infrequently. Since getting the AX1500, all readings at all times with all doors shut are above 90% (92%-97%). My work laptop is faster, snappier, and no more cutting out on Zoom calls. The extender device was super easy and fast to set up. I was happy to be a little surprised that this extender works so well, exceeding my expectations - as some of the other reviews were not as positive and it made me hesitant to purchase for a week or two, until the poor performance forced me to take a chance and buy it. I am so glad I did. I hope your experience with it will be a positive as ours.

You cannot change the extender password!
The setting page does not allow you to change the password of the extender, so you are forced to use the same password as your main router. If that does not bother you, then the RE315 is fine. Just fine though, because it is also bulky, so it will block your other main plugs if you plan to have something else next to the extender (how dare you?). Since it's got a different SSID, there is no reason why this wifi booster cannot have a different password as many other models can... but, as we all know, the current tendency with hi-tech right now is to strip away useful settings, and offer you useless ones in return (like why would I want a TP-Link account for a sit and forget wifi booster?). Anyway... the status LEDs are nice to have, the antennas seem to do the job, the wifi coverage was plenty for me, it has a somewhat elegant (but bulky!!!!) design, easy to setup... so if you can live with the shortcomings, then buy it... I'll return mine!

Very easy to set up

Simple and effective. Easy to setup. Just works. The only issue is that even though the mkt material says that range is good for a very large house we dont feel it is. It has issues.
