What size would fit a 13 years old?

That all depends on his waist size and how he is built. We bought XL because the Amazon size chart indicated that a 28-1/2 inch waist should be XL. When the Fruit of the Loom package arrived, it showed Large as 27-29 inch waist and XL 30-32 inch. So the XL was TOO big! At 13, your boy could easily fit into a men's small..depending on his waist measurement, weight and build. Our son is 8- built solid and muscular with the 28-1/2 inch waist. He is not fat, but could be if he wasn't playing basketball and doing karate twice a week. Therefore, we rely on size charts. If size charts are wrong, as the Amazon size chart is, we end up frustrated and disappointed. The underpants are nice quality, so we will keep and, eventually, our son will fit into them

What sizes do S, M, L correspond to?

The Big Boys size S is 23-24" waist (age 6-8 ) size M is 25-26 " waist (age 10-12 ) , size L is 27-29" waist ( age 14-16 ) . I'm pretty skinny for an adult and usually wear size 27 or 28" waist pants . The Big Boys' size L fit me better than adult size Small briefs do . The Big Boys size M might be like an adult XS size , for a really thin guy . The Big Boys size L is about an inch narrower in the waist and slightly smaller overall than an adult size S . A Big Boy size XL , incidentally is sized between adult size S and M .

Will these fit a 6 year old? Well, he'll be 6 in 2 months..

Yes, my 6 year old wears size medium. He says they are comfortable.

Not the colours you expect

Good quality and fit ..... but I got sent the wrong colour/design.They are only yfonts though so it doesn’t matter too much. LoL
