Great little camcorder.
Good quality video with a I love the 50x zoom. Light compact and very easy to use. Doesn't have as many features as the high dollar camcorders but it shoots really good videos and is small enough to carry with you. Does everything I want and it was a good buy. Can't beat it at this price.

Great high quality video camera to capture priceless family memories!
When I got this camera I was very impressed with all the accessories that were included, how light the camera was, and how easy it was to use. Once I used it and played it back the quality of the video was amazing! The picture quality was true HD quality. You can tell it is by how much memory it uses when creating videos. My only problem now is to find a bigger hard drive to transfer and store all these videos. It comes with a 32 gb card and I am looking to buy a bigger one so I don't have to transfer videos as much. It's a little unclear how big of an SD micro card the camera can handle, but I will either try a 64 or 128 gb. I would recommend this product to any parent out there like myself that likes to record and capture those family memories. It will be nice to have them in such great quality too!

An awesome and amazing little video camera!
Previously I owned a video camera out of date and terrible for the audio quality, the Zoom Q3HD. I read a few reviews on the Sony HDRCX405, and even watched a few youtube videos on what the camera can do. Amazed at what I saw, I bought it and wished I would have had this camera years ago; its perfect for my needs. I use it to upload videos to youtube, and the video quality is really good, with good audio. This thing is no bigger than a soda can and weights very little. Its amazing for the package you get. I'm not looking for pristine video quality because I would have bought a camera for $700 +. This is ideal for any situation, on a family vacation, or a school field trip, or for youtube footage (which is what I use it for). For more information on what this camera can do, type in the name of the camera on youtube, and see for yourself how powerful the Sony HDRCX405 really is. This is a great purchase for many many many reasons. I use it every day and would recommend it to anyone!

Easy to Use Camera
For the most part, this camera is easy to use and I can record longer videos at a time as compared to my iPhone. The purpose of buying the camera is for my son's sporting events and I have to say the camera serves that purpose. The bundle came with a lot of accessories and an extra battery. The only thing I wish is that the screen was a touch screen and had a mic attachment. Please note the recording volume is suitable for the purpose. The camera just does not have as many modern features as other brands but is good quality overall.

Great Camera, Great Value.
I shopped for weeks looking for a Camcorder that I could dedicate to just recording video without using my phone... This is the result. It's a great camera for a great value. Set it up based on several recommendations from sites and other users... works great so far. Very happy with this camera. Word of advice for folks looking in to buying this, the memory card that comes with this is a fairly decent one, but do yourself a favor, and get several REALLY GOOD memory cards. This isn't like the old VHS days; Don't go cheap. Do your research, and get either a Sony, Samsung, SanDisk, etc, that can handle the suggested data rate for HD video in this operation. Class 10, with a 40 MB/S or better. Aside from setting your cameras settings, that's how you will truly get the most out of your video quality. Overall this camera is perfect for my family's needs and uses, especially this deal. I'm currently looking for a small, inexpensive 'steadicam' type of hand mount, once I find it, I will probably fall in love with this camera all over again.

Camcorder OK, not great. The kit not so much.
The camera takes fine videos. It ends there. The camera and instructions are Windows centric. I was able to import the one movie I took into my iMac only after I figured it out. The Mac made that part easy. The Sony editing software is for Windows. Most of the instructions for transferring videos applied to Windows and Android. There were instructions to transfer to iPhone/iPad via wi-fi. Either I'm way off or the instructions were. It seemed the the instruction manual was written for a variety of Sony camcorders. I could not find wi-fi connection following the directions. I kept coming to a dead end about 3 steps in. There were no instructions about fine tuning the taking of videos: lighting, eg. You are on your own. The kit is awfully tempting. But it included a spare battery and charger that didn't fit the camera. It included an extra memory card and USB reader. I don't know the purpose of the extra card. It was a different size. The Focus rep said it was just for me to use. OK!? When I put the card from the camera into the reader and plugged it into the Mac, well, nothing. The Mac did recognize the camera. Amazon has the camcorder and kit back. And I'm back to the drawing board.

El cable HDMI no embona con la salida de la cámara (son diferentes entradas micro). Además, contrario a lo anunciado, no venían los siguientes componentes: cargador de baterías, cargador para automóvil, protector de LCD. No se si son errores de SONY o de AMAZON.
