Clean, Bright White and Prints Great!
SUNLU white filament has worked great for my 3D printing projects. The white is bright and clean, and the filament feeds smoothly with consistent results. My prints come out with nice detail, good layer adhesion, and a smooth finish. I’ve had very little stringing and no major printing issues. It’s a great everyday filament for signs, crafts, keychains, and multicolor projects. I would definitely purchase it again!

Great value for the price.
Awesome quality filament will be purchasing it again. It is also a very nice white color. And I love the roll these come on. The extrusion works well. And I can maintain a good print speed of about 300mms.

I recommend this brand of filament!
IMO. The SUNLU filament is the best! I have tried another brand and had problems in my printer. Went back to SUNLU and it works perfectly every time

Not nearly as good as reviews had me expecting. Beware of the large diameter spool hole.
I’ve been printing for over 3 years and had been wanting to try Sunlu filament since it was one of the higher rated products on Amazon. I had a need for some white PLA and, at the time, this was the only reasonably priced one in stock. I noticed immediately that this PLA was not quite the same quality as what I had been used to with brands like Hatchbox or Wanhao. It was considerably stringy and the first layer did not adhere nearly as even, or as well to what I was used to. I made the necessary adjustments and was able to get it to be more in line with what I had in the past, or so I thought. I immediately had issues with filament coming off the spool as it was rotating, something I had encountered a couple times before but never to this degree. I had to rig a temporary solution to keep the filament on the spool during the first 150 grams of material. Then after letting the print go all night I discovered a layer shift near the top of the print the next morning. I assumed it was because my attempt to keep the filament on the spool had caused a minor pull on the print head at some point. So I tried again, and by now enough was used that it was staying on the spool by itself. However I had another layer shift very early on in the print, within the first two hours. I gave it one last try and still had a third layer shift at another random spot. I have concluded that the main issue is the diameter of the hole in the spool. It is considerably larger than any other roll of filament that I have used. I believe that because of this, it does not rotate very well and at some point the print head has to pull much harder than usual to get it to spin, thus causing a layer shift when it is printing. It also does not rotate on the center of the spool axis, unless you happen to have a very large spool holder - in excess of 2.75 inches. This could explain the problem with filament coming over the edge of the spool since it is sitting an inch or so lower on my spool holder. There is noticeable striations between layers which supports my conclusion that the spool is not rotating freely and there is too much pull on the print head, causing shifts throughout the print until it finally has one so great that it layer shifts. So in the end it caused me to waste an entire roll of filament. Not something I am happy about, and I will probably stray away from Sunlu unless they get better spools in the future.

Not the best but not bad
Sulu PLA is cheap and reasonably good. The colors are not very deep, the filament is not the strongest, it tends to produce a bit more stringing than a top shelf filament - but if you need a lot of filament for little money, this is a decent choice. I use it for drafts and it works well for that. The spools are good and the winding is excellent and tight. I also really appreciate that they thread the end of the filament through the holes at the edge of the spool rather than taping it, which I find even on the best brands. A reliable and cost effective choice.
