Works great. I did belt sand the black (plastic) back support to make it perpendicular to the table base. I also made a wood base (larger than the drill press table) to enlarge working/clamping options. Look up on the web for options. Worth the time to make one.ALSO: It came in a carry case, not listed it the description.

I've had a mortising machine for years. The motor and turning have been fine. The problem is the wimpy tooling design that positioned and held the piece. The holding was so flimsy that I reverted to higher precision joint making.But, the smaller, quicker 5/8"-1/4" mortise joint is often the best choice. Larger joints have always been cut on a table saw mortise & tenon jig.I like this jig because it provides a higher degree of precision and expanded degrees of freedom on a radial drill press.Yes, setup is the whole shebang producing a quality mortise and joint. However, the setup is straightforward after the first installation.

The device was delivered as advertised. My issue is with the assembly and installation instructions, they are very poorly written in broken English with one pen and ink drawing makes the instructions almost useless. I will not recommended this product.

Likes: makes good square holes in wood.Dislikes: instructions are difficult to follow. The collet spacer/separator between the mandrel yoke and the mandrel was tricky to figure out. Better go SLOW.

This was solid and deleiveried as advertised. Unfortunately, I had to return it due to my own mistake. I assumed the size of my drill press collar. Make sure your collar size is within the range they specify before you buy it.

I’m in the process of building tables for my daughters & this helped so much in making mortises for the tables! Glad I ordered it!

The thing takes for ever to setup. It is to week to stay in place. It can’t work on big pieces of wood. The clamp system damaged my wood.
