Well-made, Crunchy for Coffee-soaking
I compared three brands of cantuccini almond cookies [Bellino, Ferrara, and Nonna Annuziata] along with the now discontinued Cucina & Amore brand. My grandmother and mother made mandelbrot, which adds to my knowledge base. All these brands have very similar recipes, almost alike in calories, sodium, carbohydrate, cholesterol, and protein. Differences do occur in consistency, almond chunks versus slices and density, and here Nonna Annuziata comes out poorly; if there are 25% almonds, then it must be ground-up as there is no satisfying nut crunch. Also, they are very soft and quickly disintegrate when dunked in coffee or tea. Bellino is properly twice-baked and hard and crunchy; they soak up the coffee without readily dissolving and are closest to my grandmother's style. Ferrara is also nearly as good in this regard. ADDENDUM: I subscribed to receive this product and received a box but the biscotti tasted off, indeed rancid. I complained to Amazon and also the importer (who send me a fresh box that was proper tasting), but the second month also tasted rancid. I UNsubscribed and will try a new brand. Problems in storage, transportation, and even production can cause such problems, but two strikes and you are out.

Very Hard, Difficult to Bite and Chew
Not much of a treat, mildly sweet but not easy of fun to eat...too damn hard.

A delicious Biscotti product when dunked in hot coffee.
One of my favorite kinds of delicious treats is Italian Biscotti, which is like a biscuit or a cookie. Since I have not ordered any biscotti's lately I decided to check on line and ran across this product (Ferrara: since 1892, Cantuccini, Biscotti, Almond, 6 oz. package, a product of Italy) and Amazon and immediately purchased it. I was surprised at the super quick one day delivery service. I had eaten other brands of Biscotti in the past but this was the first time I tried this brand. I found it to be delicious, when dunked in my hot coffee. They were fresh but a little hard to bite into without dunking it in my coffee. If you like hard Biscotti treats to dunk in your coffee you may want to try this brand. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art and Warrior Haiku and Senryu).

Can't Get Enough of These!
When I was a kid, my family frequented an Italian pastry shop that made the best cannolis, sfogliatelle, and a cookie that they called "nut bars." I've only found "nut bars" in two bakeries, one in New Jersey, one on Cape Cod. Although biscotti is an okay substitute, it just isn't the same. Ferrara Cantuccini are exactly like the "nut bars" I remember. Crispy, crunchy, and full of almonds, the texture is quite different from biscotti. The only problem with them is that I could eat them by the boxful. Each piece has about 33 calories, which makes me love them even more (if that's at all possible).

Small, stale, tasteless
Very disappointing. The biscotti are very small (2 1/2"). They come all together in a foil bag inside the box, but they were stale, and taste very bland. They are very hard--like other reviewers state in their reviews--but they soften up OK in coffee, if you can hold on to them. These biscotti are far inferior to Nonni's, which don't claim to be a "product of Italy."

Delicious
These were pretty fantastic! They were perfectly crunchy and had nice big chunks of almonds. They were amazing with coffee. They're a tad too sweet for me but great with unsweetened coffee. The pieces are small so you may find yourself over indulging :)
