Jack and the Flumflum Tree Paperback – February 7, 2019

We have collected over 25 Julia Donaldson books and pretty much all of them are winners. This is definitely within the top 5 and one of the most regularly read after The Gruffalo and Snail and the Whale. It is a story about how Jack and his friends who go on a quest to find a cure for his grandmother's fictional ailment. It has a good rhythm, and (sorry Axel, Julia's most common illustrator) the pictures are excellent. I do wish this was published in the US, so more would know about it, but they would probably mess with the words too much and it would loose some of its fun as they did with Monkey Puzzle (UK)/Where's My Mom? (US). Highly recommend!

If you're looking for great picture books with interesting stories in rhyme, you cannot go wrong with any of Julia Donaldson's books...this one is no different. We own practically every Donaldson picture book from A Squash & a Squeeze, The Gruffalo, Singing Mermaid, Sharing a Shell, Tyrannosaurus Drip & so on. It doesn't matter who the illustrator of the book is, as each brings his or her own magic to Julia's great stories with beautiful & vibrant pictures...we often gift these books to our international English speaking friends, who in turn have become avid fans of Julia Donaldson & her wonderful characters.

Love all of Julia Donaldson's books that we have read but with that being said, I have my favorites. And this one is definitely in my top 5. I enjoy reading books that rhyme to my children and the better the rhyming the higher on my list the book goes. This is most certainly a good addition to any child's library.

One of Julia Donaldson's best books. Our 2.5 year still loves this book after having it over a year. Wonderful rhymes, storytelling and visual make it a fun read.

This book is so cute! My son is in speech and I'm able to use this book to help him practice sounds and concepts! We love every book we've gotten from this author!

As always Julia doesn’t disappoint. We missed Axels illustration but still liked the new illustrator! Love the CD that’s comes with it!

The storyline and illustrations are great.

It’s one of Julia donaldsons books that not many people know about. It rhymes, the kids get involved due to some nice repetitive bits.We borrowed from the library ages ago and loved it so bought.Fun story and fun pictures. Definitely one to buy.Good quality book and arrived quickly.

Keep guessing what's going to save Jack from a sticky situation on his way to the faraway isle of blowernose :) my kids enjoy the puzzle nature of the story. Must buy! Have even gifted copies to other friends who've enjoyed the same :)

Julia Donaldson è una certezza, Questa è una filastrocca molto carina, raccontata dalla voce del narratore con un ritmo davvero accattivante e che rimane nella testa dei bambini (e dei grandi..). Simpatiche illustrazioni piene di dettagli divertenti. Mio figlio ha molto apprezzato la parte con gli squali che giocano a far scoppiare i palloncini.

Me encanta, tenemos bastantes cuentos de Julia y éste es uno de nuestros favoritos sobre todo por el audio. A mi niña y a mi nos encanta la manera que tienen de contar éste cuento con ritmo... Me parece una gran opción para iniciar a los niños a la lectura. Seguiré comprando cuentos de esta autora.
