I just got my Ordro camcorder today but I already am loving it just from the few video recording tests that I made. I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the picture quality of the test recordings! I am seeing quality equal to or better than what I normally see on a network TV newscast, and that's not an exaggeration. The fact that it comes with a wide angle and macro lens was a big plus as a reason to buy it, but now that I have it, I am finding more reasons to recommend this camcorder. The handle is very sturdy and it makes the image stabilization you get from using the handle look like you have the camera on a dolly. The external microphone is clearer than the internal one. The LED light bar is terrific and lights up the area to be filmed with perfect clarity without being irritating. You have two modes to adjust the brightness and color warmth of light coming from it too in a wide range of brightness and softness by way of a dial, not pre-programmed selections that limit your flexibility, which is a welcome feature. There is also an LED light mounted within the front of the camera itself that is extremely bright as well. I am not sure about the memory card formatting. It seems to have done it by itself after I loaded it. The remote that comes with it is very full featured and will be useful when filming videos for Youtube. You are able to use the anti-glare hood either connected to the camera built in lens or to the wide angle lens. It also comes with a suitcase style case for everything and a separate smaller carrying case for just the camcorder without all the attachments. The batteries (it comes with 2) charged up in a little over an hour each and it comes with a charger that you slide the battery onto or you can connect and charge up while a battery is inside the camcorder. Another nice feature is the ability to keep the handle on it while it is connected to a tripod. I have seen the handle on some other professional camcorders like this where you had to disconnect the handle to put the camcorder on a tripod. The touch screen is much more responsive than some other camera screens I have seen and the menus are easy to navigate to find what you need quickly and intuitively. (there is nothing worse than a bad user interface on any electronic item. So happy with this interface). I am confident that this camera will turn out to be a great purchase for me and I am really pleased with the level of features and quality I have already seen. I am really looking forward to using it. I haven't taken any still shots with it yet, but I am sure those photos will be amazing as well. Bottom line is, if you need a full featured camcorder with professional broadcast quality picture and a lot of extra equipment that usually costs hundreds of dollars more, this is a great camera for you. I know it says they are out of stock on this camera here, but it is available on ebay at the same price-point and they also have other camcorders which are the same model and have different levels of equipment here on Amazon. One comes with a telephoto lens. The level of value Ordro offers is mind boggling and no, I am not being compensated for the positive comments, these are my personal opinions made without compensation. Update: this camera continues to impress. Just finished creating a theatrical style movie with it and the result is astounding! The picture is so crisp and flawless, the camera's settings and accessories allow for a complete, professional looking movie with very little need for editing adjustments afterward. The stability handle works great for steadicam style shots without the need to rent expensive dollies, cranes or rail rigs. It is also excellent for green screen shots as you have great flexibility with the variable intensity and warmth LED light on top. I didn't use any accessory lighting from the side or above for my green screen shots as they weren't necessary with this camera. You don't need to look anywhere else for a terrific video camera, no matter how you intend to use it, this is the one. Just buy it.

I had such high hopes when I purchased this camcorder. It comes with pretty much everything you need to get you going except for the SDXC memory cards for the video storage. Everything comes packed in a nice padded storage case. The size of the camera itself is just about right. It comes with an LED Video light that has an intensity adjustment, that also came with an angle adapter to use for it. There is also an separate adapter so that you can mount the video light and the included amplified mic on top of the camera. The camera also came with two batteries and a USB-C charger and you must supply your own power supply, but most people have several or more them laying around their home, so not a big deal to get one. Also included was a wide angle lens and a lens hood, along with a remote control that worked well, and all the cables you need to connect and or charge the various accessories. The User Manual could use some cleaning up to make it easier to understand. Here's the reason why I had to return the camera. The description advertises that the camcorder has IMAGE STABILIZATION. Yes it does, but it only works in STILL PHOTO MODE, and it DOES NOT WORK IN VIDEO RECORDING MODE. The still photos that I took with the camcorder came out just fine. The video recordings I made with the camcorder mounted on a tripod were okay. When I was recording video while holding the camcorder the video is very jittery. I did my best to try and keep a still hand while shooting, but the image stabilization just doesn't work to smooth out the video when recording so it's fairly smooth during playback. One other reason as to why I had to return the camcorder was due to the poor audio quality. Whether using the built in mic or the powered shotgun mic that came with the camcorder, the sound was low and weak. I even purchased a Comica VM-20 Shotgun adjustable microphone, but there was just no getting around the bad sound. What's worse, the camcorder will not let the user plug in a headset or corded earbuds to monitor the sound. The sound levels were just too inconsistent to be considered as being in the acceptable range. I really wanted to keep this camcorder setup, but when considering how important it is to preserve many of the memories made during family functions, there just wasn't any getting around the inferior issues with the camcorder. Hopefully the manufacturer will pay attention to those issues and have them corrected.

I purchased this camera for my role as a High School Football coach because I wanted a Wide Angle lens to film our games. Many of the wide angle cameras run +$1,000, but I took a chance on this cheaper model. The quality is awesome for filming football. I can see the running back to the free safety, I can read the numbers on jerseys, and the battery can handle an entire game with 12 minute quarters. The camera comes with a great case, in that all components are compartmentalized and secured. My only complaint is that you have remove the tripod attachment we use to get out the memory card but again, for the price, I will take that small design flaw. I am glad I purchased this but in a way I have a some regret because when I share film with other schools, they get a much better look at my team with the quality from the this camera.

So far this does what I need it to. I'm still new to using it and doing the things I'm using it for so there is a learning curve. I am filming craft wips for youtube. Sometimes I need a far view and sometimes I need macro. So far this is doing both. I do have trouble seeing if the picture is in focus or not due to the small screen size so this can limit my shots. Audio is clear but somewhat distant sounding so I need to try the microphone attachment but have not yet. The packing is amazing. It's a really well designed carrying case that has a spot for almost everything and came with so many useful extras and attachments. Overall I am happy with this purchase. Is a smart phone camera better? Possibly, dependent upon camera. Mine is. But I can't sit there recording for hours with my phone without killing the battery and other issues. But I can sit there and record for hours with the camcorder and get plenty of good video.

Nothing works as advertised... Sound is a joke, Image Stabilization only works in Photo Mode, Add-on lenses are like looking through the bottom of a coke bottle, zoom is rough and auto focus works - sometimes buy not while using zoom and if it misses the focus point it will not retry unless you change the zoom again. I would classify this as toy quality but I would not give this to my kids!!!

Image quality in 4K was poor. Stabilization is non-existent. Color saturation was un-natural. My iphone 7 in video mode blows this thing away. Disappointed.

For a new photographer, this is a great price that will give you good quality shots. The camera comes with additional equipment for lighting and sound that is easy to install and use.

Not sure yet..... the external mic may not be all that good. Camera functions, but is a bit hard to figure out how to go from one function to another. I'm sure with time I'll figure it out! But for the price it's ok!!!!
