Glass Bankers Desk Lamp with Pull Chain Switch Plug in Fixture (Green)

This a very nice lamp. My main concerns (because I can't not overthink things) was as to the quality and it having a faux-metal base. But the base is indeed brushed metal, and the lampshade thick glass. It also comes with a "retro-style" lightbulb. Complaints from some reviews about the the whole shade not being illuminated are probably expecting a strip light in the shade, but this is the old-school mid-century style where the bulb attaches from the side of the lamp, so yes, the right side of the shade will not be fully illuminated because it is "beneath" the bulb. I like the original feel, its decently heavy, and I'm very happy with it.

Bought this lamp to replace a near identical lamp that fell apart after year of use. This new lamp is much more solidly built and is holding up perfectly. Worth every penny. This lamp is the classic desk lamp design and that is probably because it is an optimum design that is hard to improve on. You will see this style of desk lamp in old black and white movies and in new films. You can see it in paintings, illustrations, this lamp style has been around a long time and has a classic elegance that is hard to beat.

It was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She loves it perfect on her piano.

It was purchased and given as a gift. They love it! Normal bulbs fit but it’s a tight one with hardly any room to move your fingers. I definitely recommend a low lumen amber bulb. It looks good! Couldn’t take a normal picture to post to make it look good but it does look good. I know others have had unfortunate damage with shipping but mine arrived fine. The outer box was roughed up and that did make me nervous when I came home to the package, but luckily none of the inside packaging was damaged. It has a sturdy base so I’m not worried about it tipping, whether by accident or pulling the light chain.

Be aware, came with an oily feeling coating and smelled like chemicals. After giving it a good wash and avoiding skin contact till it was clean, it looks great and feels stable. Smell did not sit right with me though

Beautiful weighted lamp. Green shade with white inside. Comes with an energy saving bulb. Packed well for shipping. Easy assembly. Lampshade already connected. Some talk of the pull chain sticking or not working after a while. That is to be determined in due time. Delivery was fast.

Magnifique lampe ! Conforme à la description. Le pied en métal est très lourd et donne une grande stabilité à la lampe. L'abat jour en verre est de très bonne qualité, très épais. Tout cela lui donne un charme fou ! Je recommande complètement cet achat.

Lite stor fot, men fördelen är ju att den absolut inte välter. Stabil är väl det mest kännetecknande intrycket. Köpte en till, så jag tyckte tydligen om den.
