Non Reflective and Reflective Black and White Acrylic Display Boards/Background for Tabletop Product Photography

These are superb and the results have been equally outstanding. I take quite a lot of close ups and use a series of Macro lenses and filters to capture minute detail of intricate jewelry. I adore the effects of reflective boards and have found out that like most any product, not all of them are created equal.The mirror finish and well saturated color of these reflective display boards are superb. The makes for excellent reflective effects without distortion - saving me time in Photoshop which is always appreciated. I came across these while looking around for a set of new ones. I spent a good deal of time comparing these types of boards and based on the glowing reviews of others and the very affordable cost purchased a set and am sure glad I did:* Great Quality thick and even* Double sided means one reflective side and one matte finish.* Easy to transport they fit well into my larger camera bag* Nice when used with a Light box or small tent set - up equally effective without.* Easy clean with Micro-fiber (don't use spray cleaners!)Having both the white and black and the option of reflective or matte makes this set, especially at such a great discount a superb deal. I bought these specifically for photographing my handcrafted pens for my business. I was using just white fabric before I purchased these. I was never able to get a great white background until I used these. I use my Samsung Galady Note 5 camera, in professional mode, and photograph in my basement. I had replaced all my flourescent ceiling bulbs with Phillips Natural Light, 5000k. Two are overhead my 4 x 4 table, still covered with white cloth, but now use the white reflective square under my pen stand/velvet pouches.Other then the two 40w Phillips flouresecent ceiling bulbs overhead, I use a 3rd Phillips 5000k Natural Light lightbulb, mounted in a reflector with a clamp (from home depot). I use that overhead to left or right to minimize shadows. And now use the Black square occasionally as a secondary reflector, held in my hand, again to reduce or minimize shadows.The white relective surface has worked great and provides a sturdy surface. My items are 1 to 3 oz most, and no longer then 6" long, and I have had no problem keeping the field of view within the boundaries of the square surface. I haven't re-photographed all of my items yet, and may try the black reflective surface for my fountain pens (but seems everyone "standardized" on white). The option of black / white / matte / reflective covers all the options I was looking for. Nice product (not flimsy) that came well packaged and promptly delivered. Each piece came in its own reusable plastic bag and there was no issue with peeling off a layer of protective plastic as that was done predelivery. This product by nature will attract static dust most notably on the reflective side. To deal with this I purchased an inexpensive twin pack of a " blue dust collection roller" that can be found when searching for vinyl record cleaning tools - works like a total charm to keep these sheets dust free / scratch free and looking good while your working with them. If you are looking for this type of product ( in my case for jewelry product photos ) I recommend this very affordable option.

These seem nice. I'm scared to death about scratching them up, but I guess that goes with anything acrylic. For some reason, I thought they'd be thicker but that's okay.Edit: I really like the effects of both the glossy and matte black sides. I'm not a huge fan of white backdrops, so I think I'll primarily use the black ones. For my purposes, the black translated as a dark grey, but I like it a lot. The colors on the piece were correct, so I care little about the black showing as true black. I was able to take decent photos. I'm happy. :)

I like these a lot. I photographed a pair of shoes on the black (for a class) and got a nice reflection. Very pretty and useful. I always put it back into the plastic cover to keep scratches off when done, and be careful how you place objects on it, but they seem pretty decent for the price. I haven't used the white, but I imagine it works well. It wouldn't reflect, but I can see where white with a black background would be very stunning.One other thing: I previously ordered something similar from another company and it was awful! It came looking more like a thick piece of cardboard, with stamping on it no less. The little legs were on the wrong side. I sent that one back and got these! Glad I did!

This product is very easily scratched, chipped or broken. So I was shocked to see it arrive in a lightly padded envelope! It did arrive in good shape. But it amazes me that Amazon will send a tiny, relatively unbreakable thing in a huge box with tons of bubble wrap or other protective padding and this very fragile thing, in a padded envelope.

Definitely not the best quality, arrived with some scratches and it gets worse every time I wipe it to get rid off the dust particles on it with microfiber cleaning cloth. It collects dust super easy and requires wiping every time I need to take a shot. This will get scratch if you try to use paper towel without any water, when you use some water it dries with water marks the maintenance without scratch is almost impossible.I am spending lots of time to find an area where there is no scratches to take my shots.If there was no scratch issue I would give this product 5 star because it provides really nice shadow of the product. I like the white one which proves plain and very clear white background.Overall this wasn't the best purchase and good investment. If you think this review was helpful, please don't forget to vote.
