Happy 'Tiel! 😊
Hi Amazoners! Our cockatiel will only eat this brand mix ever since he was a baby! We've tried to change it up a bit with other brands and mixes but he was not happy camper. He goes after the sunflower seeds first ofcourse but this isthe only one he oes crazy for other than then snacks ofcourse. Recommended food for your 'tiel!

More sunflower seeds
Only one he will eat! More sunflower seeds, his favorite! He is 24 yrs old. Very healthy and happy. Other brands are ignored, we've tried! If your bird doesnt like the aunflower seeds try the parakeet blend from Higgins. Read both ingredient lists.

Great bird seed
I purchased this bird seed for my Cockatiel. My bird has been doing good on this food. I purchase it online because it is easier than going to the store.

30 Years!
My little boy is 30 years old. I had hand fed him as a baby even! This food is the only food my little one will eat. I want to say he’s had Higgins forever but it gets a bit foggy after 25 years ago (except when hand feeding of course!!) To those thinking of getting a bird, make sure you are prepared for their life expectancy. I was given my little man as a secret Santa party at the animal hospital I worked at in 1990 when I was a sophomore in HIGH SCHOOL!!! I honestly don’t think there is a better seed-based food out there and will search high and low to get it!

Great blend but wish it was sunflower seed free
I’m hoping the makers can get a blend without sunflower seeds because I’m having to sift them out or at least the majority. My cockatiel eats them and then forgets about the rest of the seed because the mess of the sunflower seeds cover it. I do save the sunflower seeds as a treat at her play stand. Other then that it’s a great blend.

I always buy this in cockatiel and parakeet food. It’s a favorite and always clean.

The two bags of bird seed were well packaged and did not have any seeds leak out which has happened with different sellers.

Ruby enjoys her Higgins cockatiel food daily .. she’s not a sunflower fan .. I get a chuckle watching her toss them out of her good bowl .. but she “loves” everything else 😋 Having birdseed delivered so well packed is wonderful .. I’ve had other brands delivered that have popped and seed everywhere in my Amazon box .. not a thrill .,
