My first Safety Razor product and experience. I actually checked to make sure that I placed a blade into the 'chamber.' The shave was so smooth and drag-free that I swore I was not shaving with any blade. It's very important to download and/or review the comprehensive manual from Bambaw. I know it's a razor, how much can a manual tell you? In this case, the proper Safety Razor technique is explained. In addition, there are helpful hints to overcome 'multi-blade disposable razor' (heads) habits. After 40+ years of hacking away at my face with those products, my bad habits were endless. Build quality is first rate. The weight and balance are far superior to Big Razor brands' buy-scrape-bleed-toss blades available. I believe the cost was quite reasonable for what I got (a great shave) and didn't get (frequent razor burn).

I got this for my SO and it ended up being a good pick. He had been interested in trying a safety razor style, and this seemed like an easy place to start. The razor itself feels solid and well made and has a nice weight to it instead of feeling cheap. He said it gave a close shave and felt comfortable to use once he got the hang of it. The stand is also a nice touch because it keeps everything organized and looks cleaner on the counter. I also like that it comes with starter blades so you are ready to use it right away. Overall, this felt like a practical upgrade and something a little different from the usual grooming gifts. He liked it and has kept using it, which is always my measure of whether a gift was successful.

So incredibly satisfied. I went from a straight razor to a safety razor to get a quality shave in a faster time. A safety razor is super economical due to the cost of a blade, but I was debating going more expensive. I’m glad I didn’t because it’s clear this can do the job at under $20 and I was using a 5 cent blade.

I am using this safety razor after about 50 years of using multi-blade razors. My primary reason for reverting to what many would consider old school technology is concern over the amount of plastic being consumed. This razor is much friendlier to the skin than I remember from back then. I'm not looking at pink shaving cream or pasty white blotches of styptic on my face. I am in fact getting a comfortable shave about as close as the multi-blades used to give me. Solid, heavy, well made. It is easy enough to get a good close shave with this razor. The blade angle is mild, but it is still possible to shave too close and cause an irritation. I think I would have to try in order to cut myself. Even though the handle has texture to it, it still gets slippery when my hand is covered in wet shaving cream. This is a keeper. I'm happy with my purchase.

Alright so—real talk—I only bought this because I was tired of paying for overpriced cartridges and my buddy wouldn’t shut up about how much better “old school” razors are. Figured I’d give it a try. Honestly? Kinda blown away. First shave: Took it slow, was expecting to slice my face open like a horror movie. Didn’t happen. It’s actually super smooth. No tugging, no weird red patches like I usually get with the plastic razors. Build quality: It’s heavier than I thought (in a good way). Doesn’t feel cheap or gimmicky. Screws together nice and tight. I dropped it in the sink once (oops) and it didn’t even scratch. Blades: Comes with 5, I’ve only used the first one so far. Still going strong after like 6 or 7 shaves. No rust or dullness yet. Heads up though: You gotta learn how to use it. Not hard, but don’t rush it. Angle matters. You’ll probably cut yourself once or twice at first if you get cocky (ask me how I know 🙃). It doesn’t have any fancy rubber grip or whatever, so if your hands are wet, just be careful. Bottom line: I thought this was just gonna be some “classic barber shop” novelty thing but nope—this is legit. I actually look forward to shaving now, which is wild. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. 5/5 – wish I’d switched years ago.

Best shave I have ever gotten never used one before today and I finally see why people use safety razors, they are much cheaper overtime and it allows me to shave without irritation.

It's designs sleek with an ideal weight for holding helping to keep it from slipping out of wet hands. The handles groved pattern makes it comfortable to hold while maneuvering around the face and other delicate areas when shaving receiving the closest shave. My husband's face has never felt so smooth and he hasn't had any ingrown hairs since using this it could be a coincidence he's not sure yet. He had some difficulties getting the small hairs under his nose. When I used it I've noticed there's no bumps or razor burn but a closer smoother shave overall. It really gets up close and personal! This is a sharp razor not only it's performance it's appearance too. One dual sharp blade doing more then the work of multiple disposable ones that have 3-5 blades and still you will not receive a shave this close. Plastic disposables DO rust and DON'T give you a close clean shave like the Bambaw does fine hairs rinse right off you're easily able to switch out for a new blade unscrew the handle the top opens up to remove and replace the blade. This is what a razor should be, saving money, time and effort!

I've been using my razor for about a year and a half and thought I would leave a honest review of my experience. First, the razor itself is nice. It's heavier than other razors I've used and the texture on the handle makes it easy to get a good grip. It's a nice size, even with my small hands, and feels well made. At first, changing blades was really easy. Just unscrew the top, take out the old blade, put in a new one, screw the top back on. I've always made sure to clean the handle really well when I change the blade. After about a year, the screw top started seizing and and the top was very hard, almost impossible, to unscrew. Now, a few months later, the top has become completely stuck and I'm no longer able to change blades at all. It's disappointing because I really liked this razor! I'm just happy I didn't pay more for it since it didn't last as long as I hoped it would.

I've always used cartridge based razers like Gillette but I figured I'd try a safety razor for a change. After the first shave I am already very impressed by both the shave, how easy it is to use and the affordability. Not only are the blades easy to swap and clean when compared to cartridges, they are incredibly cheap. You can get a box of a 100 for a just a few quid online and save yourself a lot of dosh. The Gillette and Wilkinson's cartridge brands are good, no doubt, but they are expensive and cannot be recycled and end up just filling up landfills. The blades I've used for this are both cheaper, easier to clean and give a clean cut that easily rivals your common razor brand. It is incredible. The weight of the razor is not too heavy, but the material used gives it a heftiness that makes it feel premium despite the affordable price point. It comes with 5 blades which should last you a while. It also may take a shave or two to adjust to the razor, especially how much pressure you need to exert to shave. I recommend a wet shave if you have coarse facial hair with a considerable dollop of shaving foam for the first go or so, primarily to get used to how much friction you need to apply to shave. I only nicked myself once on my first go, so if you're patient and consider yourself a decent shaver with a steady hand, you should be absolutely fine. While the blades aren't particularly sharp or painful to use, they can still give you a nasty cut if you're not careful. The blades are also easy to replace too, you just twist the head of the razor off and insert the blade, twist it back on and voila. I can't sing this products praise more. I regret not buying one years ago.

This is by far the BEST razor I have ever used. My beard grows back fast so I cut it often and this provides the closest shave with the least hassle. No ingrowns or nicks. Just a smooth shave all around. The actual handle and head have some good weight to it so you don’t have to push down too hard and it’s sturdy. Would 100% recommend if you are thinking of getting this product.

La calidad de la cuchilla es muy buena. Tan solo tuve la mala suerte de empezar con una hoja de las que daban que estaba en malas condiciones. El afeitado es muy bueno y en muy poco tiempo uno aprende a manejarla bien. También ahora no tengo ningún tipo de irritación en la piel tras el afeitado. Se la recomiendo a cualquiera que se quiere afeitar de forma barata a largo plazo y con calidad.
