Well built and easy to put together. The bookcase is very sturdy and looks very nice in my living room. I like it. I'm thinking about buying another one. I holds a lot of books. I like that.

We purchased five of these bookcases from Amazon, two tall bookcases and three shorter bookcases, all in oiled oak finished. all arrived in perfect condition without any damage in shipping. The cartons were well packaged and complete with no missing parts or pieces.The core material of these bookcases is particle board with an attractive faux wood grain plastic material. One must be aware that there is no natural wood used in these bookcases and particle board is easily damaged and impossible to repair. Therefore, the boxes must be opened, the component parts removed and assembled with care.The assembly instructions are clear, concise and well illustrated. Assembly was straightforward and trouble free.The finished product is sturdy and attractive. One must be aware that the faux wood grain is a plastic material and if damaged cannot be restored. One must also be aware that the joinery is metal cams and metal pegs similar to IKEA products and must be moved with care. The assembled bookcases are heavy and awkward. They will not withstand abuse in moving and if the particle board-cam/peg joinery is damaged is cannot be repaired.If handled gently and carefully they make an attractive presentation and are a reasonable value.

We bought two of these. We like them a lot. They're good-looking, very sturdy, and easy to assemble. The packaging is very well designed; they arrived unblemished.

It's a good, solid little bookcase, just what I needed for my large photo albums. It was easy to put together and looks nice with everything in/on it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is not solid wood, but particle board. But it is heavy-duty board, not the cheap flimsy stuff.

These bookcases are fantastic. The dimensions fit -perfectly- in my space.We had got some custom made built in bookcases made, that I thought would be big enough to house mine and my girlfriend’s book collections. Lo and behold, they were only big enough for hers. 🙄So I ended up buying 2 sets of these for my books and they look beautiful. We had guests over and they thought these were also part of the “built in” work we had done because the quality and finish look near identical.They were very easy to assemble. And I’ve not had any issues.

I got this shelf to replace an old, really cheap one that was water damaged. It looks significantly nicer and is even made from the recycled wood that doesn't use some kind of wrap that peels off. I wish I had looked at the size dimensions to see how large it actually was but all things considered, a great deal for less than eighty dollars.The assembly was pretty easy and the instructions were not complicated.Now I just need to get some actual books.Made in Vietnam

This is typical inexpensive furniture - particle board covered with printed paper. That said, it is good quality and the assembly instructions are excellent. First, it gives a detailed description of the parts and quantity. Each piece is identified with a letter or letter and number. The assembly instructions identify the pieces needed for each step and give a sketch of how the pieces go together. Heed the caution near the completion of assembly - carefully turn it over to attach the back panel because it is not rigid until the back panel is attached. There are 5 sets of holes for each shelf spaced at 1.25 ". The finished product looks good. This is the second unit that I bought.I would recommend this for anyone who has even the minimal handyman skills.

Desk is fairly simple to put together. You'll need a hammer and a Phillips-head screwdriver. I was able to put it together by myself in about 30-45 minutes. The quality is about what you would expect from this price point- the shelves are sturdy, and the wood color looks good. Giving four stars due to the quality of the finish- it scratches quite easily. Had to flip desk over to attach back panel, and some of the finish scraped off the top, even while assembling on a rug/soft surface. Luckily, I had a furniture touch-up pen, but be mindful when choosing where you assemble it.
