I had purchased 3 different Contigo stainless steel water containers all at once to see which I preferred. The plain stainless steel ones in colors work just fine. But my favorite is this one because it has a rubber-ish type of band around the bottle in which to grip. I feels cozier with that grip, as well as it feels more steady due to this grip. This insulated water container keeps water HOT and water COLD for quite a while, which is a great feature. The top is made in such a way that it is leakproof, which is a big bonus. Mine is a grayish brown with a 1" silver band around the bottom and aI believe this is the Byron. Fits into my car holder, yet isn't so huge. I don't think that you can go wrong with this one!

I wore the paint off my last Contigo mug after 4 years of daily use, so decided to make a minor splurge on a new gray/purple one. It's a nice color and continues the tradition of keeping my coffee warm for several hours while I sip it. If I load it at 6AM, by 2PM there is still coffee (usually) and while not piping hot, it is still warm enough to be drinkable. I suppose most folks don't take that long to drink a "cup" of coffee, but this is really 2.5 cups... if one thinks a cup of coffee is 8oz.I find the lid does not leak, but one must be careful to thread it on properly and tighten it up enough -- but not so much as to squash the gasket inside the lid. In short, if you're reasonably careful, this cup will do the job and will last.

I love this coffee/tea mug! It works great and does not leak at all. It is easy to screw on the lid and snap open to drink and close back up. The liquid also comes out a little slower which helps me not burn my mouth so much and reduces spills. It is very easy to clean compared to some of the other mugs I have had before. The grip helps me hold onto it as well without it slipping out. It keeps my drinks hot very well for a while. I love the lavender color! I highly recommend this Contigo travel mug!

This is my sidekick, I take her everywhere, I even had some. Keeps my hot tea hot after 7 hours I love everything about her I had another one Kathy little old ring inside the lid finally decided to break the only thing I'm disappointed is is I wanted to have a second one and an order several different rings and neither one of them work I have kids and they don't want to use that one but I don't have an ovary I'm going to go out and look for myself and see what's what but other than that I would continue to order feels like I said it is my sidekick no leaks keeps things hot I like I like the left that's on it or I can just flip it up drink and then flipped it back down always my sidekick beginning

I bought the larger 20-ounce unit end it still feels a little bit swollen for me. I wish it had more coffee or more liquid. But it fits into a car cupholder fine, keeps beverages hot or cold, and works with my lifestyle. I'm an older person with a little bit of a finger problem so I find the closure to be very secure but a little tight little challenging for me to open it up with one hand. I don't mean that to be a negative as I don't think most people would have a problem. There is no dripping there is no leakage. This product is very well made. If it was a little easier for this old guy to open it with one hand I'd give it five stars. I wish it had four more ounces in it, too.

Contigo has made a superior product with their SNAPSEAL Byron Mug. I absolutely love this thermos and use it everyday. The function that makes this product so much better than its competitors is the ingenious method of opening and closing the lid - the SNAPSEAL. It literally closes and seals from the INSIDE, preventing virtually any leak from occurring. I have full faith in it enough that I routinely throw it in my gym bag or on the car seat and have never experienced any drips, spills, or leaks. Lots of other brands have a fancy name/materials they use, but the superior Contigo is by far the best item for the money. I highly recommend buying two or more as you would hate to go back to a 'lesser' mug simply because your main one was dirty or left at the office. I bought the 20oz and it has been a good size for what I need it for. The Eggplant color was a nice choice too as it's just different enough from everyone else.

I like to go out to the woods for photography. Or just walking my dog. But I am out for hours and need something to drink. I use these around the house and it keeps my water cold forever. I can pour cold water into this bottle and it will still be cold the next day. I keep one filled with iced coffee and it stays as cold as when I first poured it. I have something like 6 of them in varying sizes. There is one style I don't like - you have to press a button every time you want a drink. It's an auto seal, so great idea.But after a week of use, I ended up needing a wrist brace. I don't suggest that style, but as a former plastic bottle user, I would recommend this to anyone. And this plum color is beautiful.
