Dahle 507 A4 Self-Sharpening Paper Trimmer Guillotine with Safety Cutting Protection, Blue

Excellent product, strong and cuts well

great paper trimmer that ticks all the boxes! It is compact and lightweight yet sturdy. As long as it is not overloaded, it will hold up. The guide markings are easy to use making it easier to make more precise and accurate cuts. The blade works well. I'm getting all the compliments from other staff members.

Excellent trimmer - precise, safe and has saved me a fortune compared with trimmers with replaceable blades.

It lasted 18 months before I blunted the cutter. This was undoubtedly my own fault for trying to cut through 5 glued together layers of card :DI had used it for arts, crafts and card making and it performed well cutting in both directions. There is no extending ruler to measure further out to the left, which some trimmers have and would have been really useful. Also, it does not cut along the very edge of the transparent guide so I find it difficult to get a very precise cut when this matters. The blade is meant to be replaced as an entire cutting head assembly, which can apparently be purchased for £11 from the Dahle UK service centre (though they are currently closed, Aug 2023) - my husband took the assembly apart and sharpened the blade for me for now and it is again working well but I expect we will have to buy a new blade soon.

Dale Trimmer delivered on time .Good quality useful Paper Trimmer

Smooth running and sharp.

Out the box very nice, great clean cuts.A week in and the guide rail for the cutter came clean off. This is only secured by some glue, judging that some of this is blue suggests it is not compatible with the powder coat on the surface or has been applied too hastily at the point of manufacture, some gaps in glue coverage also so not the tidiest of jobs. Would have bee smarted to either machine the guide as part of the body or perhaps secured the rail screws. I did attempt to cut without the rail but it just result in a poor quality cut.Have my doubts on the self sharpening element. Eating away at the paint job each cut will simply dull the blade not sharpen it and eventually there will be no contact at all.Awaiting a refund from the sell. I cannot recommend this item.

Performs as described, great value for money compared to similar products I have purchased and returned that have not been up to the task, thus far I am happy with this product, as for durability and self sharpening time will tell as always but so far so good! The cutting guides have been very useful, it's easy to use straight from the box, handy grips to the surface, not too bulky to store or carry either.

Tack så mycket jag är jättenöjd

We use it to cut different type of papers. 300g oil paper, cuts with out any problem
