These. Are. Life-Changing!!!
TLDR: Buy these NOW because they’re incredible. Size down at least 1 size in the mid-waist version, and purchase your regular size in the high-waist version. These are the best underwear I've ever worn, and I've tried every merino thong out there (icebreaker, smartwool, woolly, ibex… and every Victoria's Secret thong for that matter too lol). The difference is that they don't have elastic bands that cut into you. It feels like you're wearing nothing at all. Also (and more *ahem* importantly) they're NEVER smelly even after a long hot sweaty summer workout or hike. You ladies know what I mean! lololol. AND they’re extremely healthy for your lady parts - WAY healthier than synthetic and even cotton!! They dry immediately so no sweaty bits. Ever. No panty lines. Super comfy. I own EIGHT pairs. Maybe 10? They're soft, light and delicate, but the fabric they're made of is extremely durable (more on durability below). They do have 2 negatives, but they're not so bad I won't re-purchase them. First, durability. While the fabric itself gets 10 out of 5 stars for durability (worn for 2 years and no holes in the “body” of the undies), the SEAMS on every pair I own started to fall apart after about 4-5 months of 1x/week wear. (Wash on gentle in a delicates bag/ hang dry.) For the price, the seams should last more than a year. Woolly customer service is AMAZING and AWESOME though so I'll keep buying them forever.(Update after 2 years: the seams stop coming apart after 1/2”-1” of “seam opening” and haven’t come apart more. I’m lazy and also scared to tear the wool by sewing them so I never fixed them. The openings aren’t noticeable when they’re on, just annoying to know that they came apart lol. Still the best undies in the world).Second, they are a tiny bit "long." I don't pull them up as high as shown on the models (they sit 3.5” below my belly button), which makes the gusset a bit loose after they stretch out a bit, which can feel noticeable in SOME pants. Again, not a deal breaker, but if you like “super fitted between the cheeks” low-slung undies, these might not be the best for you (I suggest the Icebreaker Siren merino thong for the “shorter rise” fit).Sizing - definitely size down. I'm 5'7" 140, pant size 6. I wear medium or occasionally large in both VS panties and Icebreaker merino thongs (I prefer a looser fit) and size small Athleta leggings, and had to size down to small in these mid-rise thongs (see below for high-waist fit notes). Small mid-rise fits perfectly. Flat, the small mid-waist version is ~ 12” (so unstretched waist measurement of 24”) and where it hits me on my waist/ hips (3.5” below my belly button), my waist is 36”. They fit perfectly and don’t feel constricting at all. They are sooooo stretchy and wonderful! If you're considering these undies, buy them. You won't regret it, they're incredible. Woolly is a relatively new company on the merino wool scene, and as much as I looooovvvvve Icebreaker and Smartwool, the designers at Woolly are giving them a run for their money! :)UPDATE: I just tried the high waist! I LOVE them and can’t wait to wear them under my high waist leggings. They’re the exact same thing as the mid-waist version (no elastic, same fabric, suuuuper soft airy light merino), HOWEVER THE SIZING IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the mid-waist version. I bought my usual size small in the new high-waist version, and while I can get the smalls on, they are WAY too tight - so much that I feel like they’d rip if I tried to wear them. I took photos of the high-waisted thong on top of the mid-waist thong so you can see the size difference. It seems like Woolly has “right-sized” these high-waisted thongs, but has not adjusted the mid-waist version. I’m going to try both a medium and a large in the high-waist thong and I’ll update my review!Summary: Buy these NOW because they’re incredible. Size down at least 1 size in the mid-waist version, and purchase your regular size in the high-waist version.

LOVE LOVE this underware
I tried many wool undies and they are either too small or too big but this one is JUST PERFECT..... I guess I am more of a thongue underware rather that traditional bikini, this one is perfect color and perfect size and perfect feel, it is super soft .... don't hesitate !!!!

Good option
I like them but seem to run a bit big. I normally wear medium universally and they fit but feel like i could size down. Soft and very stretchy.

Garments falling apart and customer service not consistent
I loved these the first time I purchased them but this time they are falling to pieces. I reached out to customer service to discuss the issue and after one initial response asking for more info, they then went silent until I followed up repeatedly over the course of a couple weeks. I seem to finally be receiving a resolution and hope to have better experiences moving forward, but proceed with some caution.

Would not recommend
There's definitely an odor, and it's still there after 4 washes. These are huge. Huge. I ordered my normal size based on the size chart. I could've gone down probably 3 sizes. They are so so stretchy that they don't ever fit snuggly.

Soft but they run HUGE
I really want to love these because they are so soft. I am 5'7", 170 lbs, athletic yet proportionate build. I first purchased 3 pair of size medium, which is what I normally wear in a thong. They were HUGE. Unwearable. So I bought a pair of small. Still WAY too big. Okay, so an XS has to fit, right? Ugh nope. The XS are still large on me. They roll down if you wear them with leggings because they are so loose. I don't know how they can say the model in the photo is 5'9, 127 lbs and wearing a small. I have wasted a lot of money trying to find the right size of these. I have thrown away all but the 3 pairs of XS because I can get by with them for bedtime with just a t-shirt. Oh well.

My favorite for hiking in any season
I got these initially because I am a very warm person and I live in the south. I needed something breathable and quick drying to prevent cellulitis as my work uniform is heavy and doesn’t allow for much airflow. These did the trick although I did accidentally rip a hole in them after a few weeks. I now own 5 pairs and use them for everyday wear and hiking. Unlike my merino baselayers from icebreaker and smartwool these do tend to have a little of a smell straight out of the package. I’m not sure why but they always have that slight wet-wool smell even fresh from the wash. I still love them and will continue to use them.

Best Merino Undies!
After reading other reviews about the crotch being too long I decided to go out on a limb and order down a size. I'm so glad I did because they fit perfect!! They are super stretchy without an elastic waist band to give that dreaded muffin top look, so sizing down wasn't an issue. I usually wear a small or medium in underwear and an XS in this brand fit perfectly. They are SO SOFT and amazing. I'm planning on slowly replacing all my undies with this brand.

Sofort ausgeleiert
Fühlen sich gut an, aber die Größe kommt leider so gar nicht hin - noch während des ersten Tragens um mindestens zwei Größen mehr ausgeleiert. Wegen der extrem langen Lieferzeit nicht zurück geschickt.
