Lovely
The love journey of Nick and Bryce is beautiful and real. The ups, downs, butterflies, and nerves; it’s all the feels and even more heart.“It’s like you filled this place in my world that I didn’t know needed to be filled. H*ll, I didn’t even know it was there before you came and claimed it. Wanting you is the only thing I’m sure of. I don’t know how it happened or why, but I know it’s there.”Gah, I know that I need these two men and their love in my life. Bryce and Nick balance each other perfectly, and I love how much they love each other, how they fight for their love and never lose sight of what matters. They are true partners in everything and I adore their romance.

Great story
I really love the way Riley Hart writes these incredible stories. “Collide” was the first book I read by her, and it’ll probably always be one of my favorite reads ever. I loved that whole series, actually, so I was curious to read this series as well. So far, it’s off to a pretty good start!

Loved Bryce and Nick <3
I LOVED THIS STORY!Why did I wait so long to read it? It's been on my TBR for freakin ever... The cover alone should have been my first clue... but anyway, I've read it and I'm really glad that I did. Also glad I was alone most of the day because shewww, Riley Hart knows how to write some man love... <wipes brow in rememberance>Nick is starting over... recently divorced after his wife cheated on him and left him for one of her affairs, he finds an apartment that shares a back yard and garage with his neighbor... His mom is really old fahsioned, she wanted him to move back home with her, but he stuck to his guns and wanted to make a life for himself, by himself. Nick also owns his own resturant aptly named Nick's. I thought that was a nice touch :)Bryce, all around good-time man, moves into the apartment next door to Nick. Bryce, who's best friends with his ex Christi and close with his family as well, has just gotten over being sick. He's enjoying life and enjoying living it. When he meets his new neighbor, they form a quick friendship. What starts off as a friendship trying to get Nick laid they realize they'd rather hang out with each other. They have fun together, they laugh which is something Bryce does a lot of and Nick needs to do a lot more of. They needed each other. There are problems though, one being, they're both straight....until they aren't... two, they both have extremely close families but Nick's mom won't shut up about finding a wife and settling down and Bryce's mom thinks he's in a relationship with Christi. I get the close family aspect and everything, I've always wanted my parents approval and I hate the thought of disappointing them. However, I think these two put too much weight into what their families think, more specifically, their mothers. They're both in their 30's and have careers and their own place. Why the need to live your life for your mother? I don't understand that. If my parents loved me like they should, it shouldn't matter who I fall in love with. I hated that it took Nick's mom so long to come around and I hated that his sister let her husband dictate wether or not she could be apart of his life. That isn't fair. Who is he to say what someone is doing is wrong.. if it isn't effecting you then how is it your business? I didn't like that.I did like the way the relationship progressed though, I liked how the sex progressed it felt really real to me, the problems they had with it and how they went about making things better or making things work for them. I know that when people read man on man love it's easy to forget everything and just enjoy it lol but the way things were handled and described, it was genuine and it didn't feel like a story. I love when stories are portrayed how people can relate to them. I'm a 30 year old heterosexual woman and even I could relate with a lot of things in this story. That's how realistic it was.Overall though, through the ups and downs and confusing times and meddling mothers and every hoop they had to jump through, it was nice to see them jumping through them together. Even when throwing in the towel would have been easier....They fought for each other and was there for each other. It was such a good story. I really really enjoyed it. It makes me hope for more about these two at some point. I'd love to see them get married and have the children the mothers kept badgering them to have lol that would be sweet.I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone, it was really really that awesome!

Plain and simple, I loved this book from start to finish
This was the first book I read written by Riley Hart and it readily secured her on my list of must-read authors. It was also the first M/M book I read and turned me on to this genre. I actually re-read the book after a couple months before writing this review, and I have to admit, as much as I liked it the first time through, I appreciated it even more the second time. Plain and simple, I loved this book from start to finish. It was so well-written. It felt so realistic: both the characters and the story itself.Hart is a master at crafting well-developed characters who the reader can readily identify with as real people and quickly come to care about their story. Crossroads flows seamlessly and is easy to read and follow, and it continues to evolve at a natural pace with a realistic sequence of events. Even secondary characters are well developed and add substance and credibility to building the storyline. Hart does a brilliant job of portraying the emotions these characters experience as they gradually come to realize that their friendship is much more than a friendship – because, well, “we’re two straight men” and neither have ever looked at another guy “that way”. They approach navigating their relationship and exploring physical intimacy with maturity, patience, trust, natural curiosity and raw emotion, and they aren’t afraid of expressing their feelings to one another, even if approaching it with their families is something else entirely. Both are strong, smart characters, and they complemented one another to a T.Bryce and Nick instantly connected to one another under the guise of neighborly friendship, yet the reader was able to identify it as so much more than that: these two simply clicked and were one of those couples that simply belong together. I loved Bryce’s “no-filter” personality, Nick’s quiet strength and their genuine affection, trust and respect for one another, not to mention their emotionally layered and steamy sex scenes. There was little personal strife or angst between the two main characters (instead the angst dealt more with telling their families), which allowed the focus to be on the couple and the process by which they struggled and came to terms with figuring out their feelings for one another.Nick rolled his eyes. Damn, he loved his man. Just being around Bryce made him happy. Things weren’t perfect. They were still stumbling around in their relationship. But it was worth it. Bryce was worth it.This line from the epilogue sums up the entire book for me: “The destination wasn’t the point, the journey was.” And when all is said and done, isn’t that really what life is all about?Favorite part? What part wasn’t my favorite? Frankly, I could read it over and over and over again. I loved Bryce and Nick together. I loved their relationship, I loved their emotional struggles with themselves as they figured out what they were doing, the awkwardness of figuring out the in’s and out’s (no pun intended…maybe) of their physical relationship, and simply their respect, trust and genuine affection for one another. It was a true love story.

Fantastic!
I'm going through Rileys back catalogue and falling in love at every book.I have read this before but a long time ago. Goodness how could i forget this book! How?This my fave trope! GFY and this one was x 2! I loved it! Bryce and Nick are incredible! I loved how there was no denial just pure curiosity and acceptance between them. They fell in love with the person. Not the sex of that person but who they were and that is just an incredible thing to read. I also loved the struggles with their families. I know thats odd but it was nice to read that it wasn't all sunlight and roses. Both families struggled for different reasons but both guys knew their feelings and nothing would come between them. The loving scenes were scorching! I loved how they explored each other. How they researched and tried what felt good. It was hot as sin!! Phewww this is exactly why i love GFY!I loved how them falling in love lead the story. It kept me gripped and riveted. I just love them!Highly recommend!

4 friends to lovers stars
I loved this book so much! The more I read this the more I was wondering how exactly this was going to happen, how it was going to start between the two men considering both men were straight. And then it did! And it was the best!! Oh, Bryce lol!!! I love you."I'm sorry I hit you.""I'm sorry I kissed you... I think. Maybe not. No, I think I'm just sorry you hit me, too."Nick and Bryce are new neighbors who strike up a strong friendship. Their friendship quickly comes to mean so much more to each man. They don't realize what it is that makes this friendship so special, until others notice and then they soon know just how much they mean to eachother and once they do know it's going to change everything because this is something you can't unknow."It'll show me what you like. I know what I like, but I've never tried to please a man before. Show me, Nick. Show me how you get yourself off."I just loved these two so freaking much. Their friendship that turned into love is beautiful. Spending time reading about these two will just leave you with a smile one your face! They will melt your heart, make you laugh and leave you in a puddle of goo.I have to mention how much I love Bryce's brother Jamie and friend Christi! They were awesome characters. amazing. And deserve their own books!!Ok so onto the two main men.Bryce - Man, he made me laugh so much. He says what he wants, and does what feels good and if there's any questions to be asked he'll ask them afterwards! It's simply who he is but that's not to say he doesn't worry. Because he does, he's in his 30's and it's taken him a while to find something he is really passionate about, he's so afraid of disappointing his family again so when they start making him doubt the only thing he's ever been sure about, he worries and doubts himself! I understood where his parents were coming from, kind of, but I hated it for Bryce. His parents loved him for who he is though so seriously extra points for them for that!"I just want to give myself to you. That's f-ing it. I want to show you that I'm really in this with you. One hundred percent in it."Nick. Oh Hot Neighbour Nick was just lovely!! He really was. Recently divorced from his wife cheating you would think the romantic in him died, the hope diminished but no even when all that has happened he still needs a connection, even though he doesn't understand what this thing is between him and Bryce he values the connection between them and the fact it isn't just s3x. gah!! Apart from trying to figure out what's happening with him and Bryce and the fact he is attracted to a man now, the biggest problem on Nick's side is his mother. Sweet mother of f-*k!!? REALLY?? You're going to ask that of them. Wow. I was stunned by her ignorance. And I've no doubt there's many people like her in real life but wow. Bryce and Nick were much, much forgiving towards her than she deserved!"This was just them- this man who made Nick feel different than anyone else ever had. His friend. His lover. Just them."This was definitely one of my favourite M/M books. Definitely one of my favourite friends to lovers. It was beautiful! made me swoon and definitely brought the heat! I just fell in love with them anyway but especially the way they supported each other and the way their relationship progressed and on their way to figuring it out they just fell in love with who the other person was, not the gender. I'm more into standalones but I could read so many more books about these two and their families, well Bryce's family! If their not getting any more books I hope the supporting characters do

Not quite as deep or angsty as I needed, but I think the author went with realism over roses with this. Quite refreshing.
This is a GFY tale, but refreshingly, it's not all about jumping into bed and having tons of crazy sex. Instead, it was a tale of a couple of guys who'd until then thought they were het, but who met and liked each other, becoming friends first and then one being told by others that they could see how he felt more from the other, which made him realise that that just might be true...I liked that there was a good degree of realism in this, that it wasn't all sweetness and light, and that everyone didn't all love them and welcome their relationship. I liked that there was some prejudice, but only a little - though how that got resolved seemed a little too much, too easily. I liked the dialogue and that the sex, whilst they got 'there', took some time, seemed realistic and did seem loving. This is a far better read than the last couple of releases from this author; those had caused her to come off my autobuy list.

too much steam
3,5 for me I guess. Not the one that usually says that, but too much smut. It just didn’t fit the story imo… I would get rid at least half of it, most of it didn’t really have an inpact on what’s going to happen and I wanted the story to progress instead of reading bout the boys doing the deed every 2/3 chapters (and the chapters were short)Also I think I’d like a little bit more of the confusion and realizing one’s feelings bit, because, I wasn’t completely convinced with them having atraction towards each other in their primary stage.Overall, an easy read, if you like a lot of steam, I guess you’ll like it. If you like it moderately, it may interfere with the story a little bit.

Beautiful x
Wow....I wish I hadn't waited so long to read this...I've had the book on my kindle and paperback since it came out but never got round to reading it....I'm so glad i've rectified that....Nick and Bryce....both thinking they're straight....make friends and then fall for each other.....There's some beautiful moments between these two....I wish I could mention them without spoiling it...But it is a beautiful read......They are perfect together.....I love that when they argued they didn't walk away...they sorted it.....There was no over the top angst that wasn't needed...even when they came out to their families.....Nick and Bryce will be a favourite couple.....I'm really glad that I was pushed to read it and i'm now onto the next in the series and meet Rod better x
