Why didn’t I buy this years ago?!?!Seriously, this thing is a gem.It makes ice quickly, easy to use, absolutely quiet. The only sound you hear is the ice being pushed into to basket.The only “negative” would be that if you leave ice in the basket overnight, it solidifies into a large lump. Good for an ice chest but not for individual drinks etc. we just turn it off before bed, bag up the ice and restart it next morning.We run it, filling bags with ice that then go into our freezer.We use ice right out of the basket for cold drinks and my grandkids love eating the ice because there are no sharp edges.If I could suggest one upgrade, plumb it so it could be hooked directly to a water source.It’s simple to add water as is, and I’m not complaining, just suggesting an improvement/option.Again, overall, this ice maker is amazing.I’m VERY glad we decided to get this one.It holds more ice than most similar models, drops more ice every 6-7 minutes and we top off the water after about every 3rd full basket of ice is done.

I purchased this Costway Ice maker, 33lbs/24hrs, for our frequent camping trips which always includes many other family members with travel trailers. As fate would have it, my five year old fridge decided to take a break from cooling and required a new compressor and fan motor. This non-cooling respite took two weeks to fix, so in the meantime we got to use our new Costway extensively for ice in the house and it worked flawlessly! This machine is a true dynamo. I set it to make the large ice "cubes" and love 'em. I want to keep it going, and have resisted giving it up from the kitchen despite the wifes' warnings and the fact the fridge works just fine now making ice. I guess that means this will either go strictly for the camping needs, or perhaps to the Man Cave. Either way, I am more than pleased. It is easy to use... it makes ice fairly quickly... I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this particular machine.

This machine makes BIG ice cubes that LAST longer than an hour in a Yeti! I am so glad I got this Costway Ice Maker. I have had it for less than a week, but its a keeper. I had a different brand & it is Night & Day difference. The other one as soon as it would spit out tiny cubes they would start melting so bad that you had to have a cloth under the basket when you would dump into the freezer and it was so slow, Ice was constantly sticking together & very very sad.... This ice maker is double the size cube & is almost the same size as what we would get from a fridge/freezer ice maker (when it still worked). I tried to attach pictures, but it won't let me. So HAPPY With this machine!!!!

First: I LOVE THIS ICE MAKER!You have your first output of ice literally in about 8 min. With in 30 mins you have enough for 4-5 large cups, and after that it just becomes full. Not like watching grass grow. The ice is smell and favor free, and when it melts completely you can still drink the water with only the very slightest hint the water was ever frozen. I was skeptical about spending almost $200 for another appliance to sit on my counter that we don't use, but I have use this icemaker every day since it arrived.It's pretty easy to maintain and prep for making ice, and it makes a ton of ice. I think it could support a party of 20+ people as long as you continue to supply it with fresh water. It is simply awesome!Now with that being said, there is one major issue that Costway should address immediately. the screw that holds the ice-making section started rusting shortly after I received it. About once a week, I have to clean the rust generated by this screw as it starts to rundowns the side and would end up in the water supply if not cleaned regularly.I eventually had to dis-assemble the top so I could take that screw out and replace it with a stainless steel number 8-1/2 inch screw. I think this will solve the issue. It was not hard to do and well worth it, if it solves my issue. This is a design flaw that has an easy resolution even if it cuts into Costway profit, by 5 cents a unit.Other than that, I am very happy with this icemaker and recommend it!

We use this as our weekend lake house ice maker. It does a great job, and the "clean cycle" flushes out any residual "old water" (drain when it is finished). We run the clean cycle when we arrive on Fridays, drain it, refill and begin using. We drain it again when we leave on Sunday. You'll need some bags, about 3 basket loads will fill a 10lb ice bag that we keep in our freezer. Bullet ice, so it is faster melting than solid, but it keeps our cans cold all day in a cooler on the water. For a counter top unit - extremely happy with the amount of ice it makes!

Easy to use, ice stays perfectly cold for hours and can even move into freezer to keep for later use. We use filtered water in the machine and the ice remains flavorless. It has some self cleaning function that is helpful and empties easily via a plug on the underside of the machine. Highly recommend for parties and produces about a cup full of ice every 8 minutes.

I bought this machine a little over a year ago and felt it was a good machine and did the job. I loved having the smaller ice! However, at just shy of the one year mark the machine stopped and the light indicating the unit is full was on. I had no ice in it at the time as I had just filled the water after using the self cleaning function. I have completely emptied the unit, unplugged it, let it dry and when I turned it back on it does the same thing. No matter how I jostle it, it thinks that the unit is full and won’t make any ice. I’ve reached out to the company to see if there was any sort of year standard warranty or to at least help troubleshoot with no response. It was good for almost a year but with the lack of customer service and the fact it didn’t last more than a year I would not recommend this.

So not buy this product in the UK, it is not designed for our system and they WILL not take it back. Total waste of money

The icemaker is a bit bigger than other ones on the market and didn't fit on my counter under cabinets...however, after I found a place for it I set as per instructions and works like a dream...the larger size of the ice is bigger than expected after reading other review. So far is working well...just make sure you follow any instruction from the manual regardless how unimportant might sound and I think it will work great.

Its a little loud when making ice.

Worked well at first nice size bucket for finished cubes, stylish, but died in less than a year.
