It was in good shape and good quality. Would buy again. Review: The Best One in the Series! - I'll start off by saying that I'm a huge RE nerd. I love this stuff and the novels by Mrs. Perry are amazing and I recommend them to any RE fan. I first read these books right after RE0 was released on the GameCube. I also recommended these be released on the Kindle about ten times over the past two years, so when they finally did I snatched them all up on their release dates! Resident Evil: City of the Dead For anyone who's played RE2 and knows that there are actually 4 total campaigns rolled into one game...this book follows Leon's A Scenario and Claire's B Scenario. Now that we've established that; this book is my absolute favorite! This is the longest RE novel Mrs. Perry has written in the series. It covers all the major plot points and gives you a view of Ada's perspective during the outbreak in Raccoon City. This book is so good that it's very VERY hard to put down and every time I read it I have a hard time keeping my mind on anything else. The author does a fantastic job of relating the relationships between Claire and Sherry and between Leon and Ada. Even now (post-RE6 release) you can feel that these four are tied together emotionally, even if the RE universe changed their positions a little bit. If you read any of these books I would suggest it be this one; let the Resident Evil 2 nostalgia take over! Note: If you've played the games then I would recommend that you read these books in numerical order (making RE0 last). There are some discrepancies between the books because the RE universe has been tweaked and updated for clarification over the past fifteen years or so. Mrs. Perry does mention this at the beginning of her books and for the most part they still flow together nicely and don't take away from stories at all.

Another good read from S.D Perry.
I was always a huge fan of the now-classic Resident Evil games for the original playstation game console. One entry in particular that I hold near and dear to my heart(and hope someday to see a next-gen remake version of,hear that Capcom?) I'm talkin' about the beloved seedy, moody, dark, yet all-too-fun and enthralling second entry. The fact that the author has already done the novelization for the first game was good enough for me(there are many other novel adaptations for the RE series). But upon reading City of the Dead,I was once again thrusted into the roles of Leon and Claire, this time from a deeper, more intimate readers perspective of the two main protagonists. The desperation and fright of being in a city once filled with life, now crawling with the flesh-eating undead and many other biological terrors is food for thought(pun intended 8^D) If you are like me,when you read, you let your imagination grab hold.....and it just makes for a much more skin-crawling,pulse-pounding experience. Leon and Claire have different reasons for coming into town on this faithful night, what they get instead;much like in the video game....is a night in Hell. Almost everything about the book is great. From their encounters and reactions with the licker, spiders, decaying dobermans, the Tyrant known as Mr.X,or The G-Virus creature once known as Dr. William Birkin....to the monologue or rather, inner thoughts of many of the assisting side characters;Ada Wong,Annette and Sherry Birkin and the mentally-unstable police chief Irons. My only qualm is certain minor elements or puzzles of the game were excluded in the novel. But these are trivial things indeed. All in all,Classic Resident Evil fans rejoice. I hope you guys enjoy the boom as I have.

RE Volume 3
Okay so first let me say that the book itself was a great read. My only problem with it was the back page was ripped and exposed the pages in the back. It was definitely not in great condition but because it's Resident Evil, I'll let this slide. It would've been great to get one in good condition.

Great book
I have always loved the story of RE but these books go into great detail of what the characters experience during the events. Make the movies like these and I’ll be there opening night

Reliving the Nightmare - Loved it!!
Resident Evil 2 was the first I’d ever played of the series, 24 years ago. It was the beginning of a long, fulfilling relationship with the Resident Evil games - now continued in literature form! SO grateful for S.D. Perry in bringing these books around, I highly recommend them!!!

Book in good condition/quality. However is a print to order reprint (not a genuine copy) which is not specified in the item description. Still looks great as part of a set though.

S D Perry has taken a fantastic and beloved story in the Resident Evil universe (possibly it's most beloved), and really turned up the heat with this adaptation, placing a level of detail and expanded story into the mix that will delight and surprise even hard core resident evil 2 fans. While City of The Dead has a few small issues with its time line (Jill, mentioned only briefly actually leaves raccoon at the beginning of this story, while we know she is in the city before and after the events of 2), it makes up for it in the character development in both the heroes, villains and the series iconic anti-hero Ada Wong. A fantastic read that will provide a more than adequate slice of nostalgia for classic RE2 fans :)
