GREAT!
This sunscreen is AMAZING! I've tried 2 Neutrogena sunscreens, CeraVe's sunscreen, and the generic Sun Boat and Walmart brand sunscreens. All those brands are super oily, burn my eyes/skin, make my skin feel gross and just aren't pleasant. The only downside is how small the bottles are. I got the biggest one and it will only last me maybe 3 months in the summer time, and its $20. I just started using SunBums and it's FANTASTIC! (And here's some reasons as to why) #1.) I have bangs, usually when I wear sunscreen my bangs get plastered to my forehead due to the oil-yness of the sunscreen, but SunBums sunscreen doesn't make my skin oily and my bangs are free moving and flowers! #2.) It's super easy to apply (like obviously cause it's sunscreen) but I mean in terms of it absorbing into your skin. Generally with other sunscreens I have to wipe some off of my face and rub it for like 20 seconds to get the white cast gone. But SunBum sunscreen just absorbs right into your skin and leaves no white cast! (I am a fair skinned ginger and it doesn't leave a white cast, I also have a darker skinned friend and it rubs right into his skin and doesn't leave a white cast either, not that he wears sunscreen, but I had him try it) #3.) It smells SO GOOD! It smells like Bananas, not like generic sunscreen, but just plain ol yummy Bananas! #4.) I have worn this all day and applied a couple times during the day, after wearing it for 2 days straight I have 0 acne from it! Usually after a day of wearing sunscreen I get like 4-12 pimples! #5.) It's super light on your face. Like i said before, it absorbs into your skin pretty quickly and it isn't too heavy. It's almost like a thicker CeraVe facial moisturizer feel & absorption wise. Some people have left a review saying that when their sunscreen came in it had a super close expiration date, my bottle had an expiration date set for October of 2024, I got it April of 2023. So that's plenty of time for me to get through this whole bottle, as I use sunscreen daily all throughout the year!

Great Sunscreen!
This is my favorite sunscreen body lotion. I repurchased because it goes on my skin so silky and I don't feel super greasy with it either. I also like the smell, honestly the fragrance is very subtle. I have applied it to my face and did not notice any break outs, even when I apply it under my makeup.

Is this what the swimsuit models in California use?
My family used this and we were all clear of any burns after a couple hours in the sun. Another family that was with us wasn't as fortunate. They were wearing some other kind of sun screen. I especially love how it isn't oily, thick, or sticky, like other creams. It also has a very light pleasant smell, unlike other creams that give off a nauseatingly strong smell. You won't smell like that every generic sunscreen out there. Get this. Treat yourself. This is more expensive than the other creams, but it's better. The quality is better and it even looks fancier than those other cheap looking bottles. Look fancy and classy when you pull this bottle out to protect your skin and your family's. Smell fancy and classy when you put this on. My bias is obvious. I absolutely love this product. It looks great, but most importantly, it works wonderfully. Protect your skin, buy sun screen, even if it's not this one. Also, buy sun glasses with polarization and uv protection. Your eyes are just as important as your skin. Spending a couple hundred dollars on good glasses now when you're young will be worth the couple more years of clear vision it will mean when you're older. (Not the overpriced big brand names... Oakley, Ray Ban, etc, are just overpriced, but they do work too) My thoughts and criteria for products I review: (Amazonโs Rating Criteria in Parentheses) * 1 Star (I hate it!): Feel it's a waste of money. Will never use it again. Would never recommend. Not safe to use. Either throw away or return it. ** 2 Stars (I donโt like it): Don't like it and wouldn't use it again, but may still have at least 1 positive thing about it. *** 3 Stars (Itโs ok): Product has both positives and negatives, and I may or may not continue using it. Someone else may like it more and is potentially still worth purchasing. **** 4 Stars (I like it): Item as described in functionality, purpose, and quality. May have 1 or 2 things I don't care for or would change, but not big issues. Would recommend if asked, but wouldn't say I love it. ***** 5 Stars (I love it!): Practically perfect. Nothing lacking in functionality or quality. Love it and would not only recommend, but would purchase for others and continue to purchase for myself.

The only sunscreen I use!
Iโve tried a lot of sunscreens over the years, and this one has become one of my favorites for everyday use. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving my skin feeling greasy or sticky. I also appreciate that it doesnโt leave a heavy white cast like some other sunscreens Iโve used. The scent is pleasant and beachy without being overpowering, which makes it nice to wear daily. I used it during a long afternoon outside and didnโt get burned, even in pretty strong sun. Overall, this feels like a sunscreen I actually want to wear consistently, which says a lot because I usually dislike the feel of SPF products.

Iโll buy this from now on
I bought this a little skeptical that itโd work well with my skin type. Iโm mixed and usually no matter what sunscreen I use, or how high the spf I always burn the first long, hot and sunny day Iโm outdoors especially when Iโm in the water. Used it for my first group paddle board meet up, and Iโm genuinely impressed with how well it works for me. I didnโt burn!!! The scent is amazing and no white cast or oily residue after application either!

Great, great stuff, but prohibited on Maui, the Big Island, and a few other places around the world
Claims that this white lotion can be rubbed into the skin and essentially disappear (other than your skin looking a tad moist, which is never a bad thing) are absolutely correct. You do need to rub it in for a bit (maybe 15 seconds) but it'll blend in nicely. Other modern sunscreens only truly blend in as your body heat thins them out, and if you are riding in a car with the A\C blasting, you can emerge from your ride looking like someone slapped a bunch of white paint on your face, legs, whatever. That's not the case here. In terms of aesthetics, this stuff is fantastic. And as for the comments about smelling like a pina colada, I'm not really getting that sort of vibe. To me, the scent is mild and not offensive. Given the fact that my preferred sunblock (Bullfrog SPF 36 Surfer Formula clear gel with 8 hours of waterproof protection) has gone the way of the flip phone, I'm very OK with the Sun Bum option even though it'll need reapplication about every hour and 15 minutes. I've deducted a star because of the big font announcements on the product page that this stuff is Hawai'i Act 104 reef-compliant because it doesn't contain oxybenzone or octinoxate. This is certainly true, but that simply gives the misleading impression that you can pack this stuff for your trip to Maui or wherever, confident in the knowledge that you are complying with both the the spirit and letter of the law. That is most certainly not true. The sunscreen industry really didn't mind Act 104, because there are many replacements for oxybenzone or octinoxate, such as homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene. These last three ingredients are exactly what's in Sun Bum and just about every other sunblock on the market that creates a chemical "sponge" to absorb UV radiation. Those who pushed hardest for a complete ban on any chemical lotions that could possibly harm reefs were livid that those three ingredients (particularly octocrylene and homosalate) were still permitted, as they really wanted to shift over to mineral-based lotions that simply create a physical shield against the sun, which is what zinc oxide and titanium dioxide formulas do. Unfortunately, as everyone who has ever seen an early 1960s surfing movie knows, mineral-based sunblocks last for many hours in all their white goop glory. The upshot of all of this is that while Sun Bum can be legally brought to and bought in the state of Hawaii and is indeed Act 104 compliant, on some of the islands it's still illegal to use it in the water. That's the case for Maui, where Ordinance No. 5306 has prohibited ALL sunscreens and sunblocks since late 2022 UNLESS they are made with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Same for the Big Island's Bill 167 which also went into effect in late 2022. And I'm not quite sure about this, but it is very possible that the allowed mineral-based lotions must be nano-particle free. Even in places around the world where none of the offending chemicals are officially banned, using even a Act 104-compliant sunscreen at a hippie-dippy eco-lodge or yoga retreat will get you a serious case of stink eye at a minimum, and potentially a ban on going in the local waters until you buy what they want you to. My recommendation: Buy Sun Bum 70 for your vacation and use it liberally as you go shopping, clubbing, sightseeing, whatever. It's great stuff for that sort of running around while trying to look decent. But in your backpack make sure you have a tube of non-nano zinc oxide or titanium dioxide formula to apply when you decide to hit the water. Better to buy a mineral-based screen at your local megastore rather than paying top dollar at your hotel gift shop. Nick in Palm Springs (where there hasn't been a reef anywhere close by for a few millennium, so I'm good with 100% Sun Bum)
