TLDR: It’s fantastic, super heavy duty and worth the price. I stared at this thing for months. Literally. My old countertop chicken scraps snap lock bucket was beyond dead and I couldn’t find another one just like it. I was irked at the idea of spending almost $30 on this one when I’d only needed to spend $10-15 before. It was also a bit larger than I wanted. I’ve been using it now for some weeks and it’s MARVELOUS! Wish l’d bought it sooner. 1 - It’s not the normal grade plastic. It’s heavy duty and built like a brick isht house. Based on my previous bins, this one’s gonna last for years. Materials and construction totally justifies the price. 2 - Gorgeous handle. A lot of compost bins don’t even have handles. Are you supposed to carry it outside like an infant? I never understood this. Anyway. The handle is sturdy, comfy and completely contained in the lid. No holes or small cracks for air seepage where the handle is hinged. I can’t say it enough, the materials & construction on this bin are gorgeous. 3 - It is absolutely air tight. The gasket is sturdy and snug. Sometimes we don’t take the bin out for 4-5 days, depending on what is going on in the kitchen and how fast the bucket is filling up with scraps. No matter. No smells. This thing rocks. Also, there is zero odor if the lid is merely on, not locked down. You just need the lid sitting on top of the bin to contain odor. You don’t have to continually snap down and unsnap the latches to make the seal work. Gasket and seal work great just sitting there. 4 - The plastic snap lock side latches are thick and sturdy. The very first things that broke on my former (normal grade) snap lock bins were the little plastic locking latches. I’ll be shocked if these break. As I’ve said, gorgeous construction all the way through. 5 - Washes up nicely. It’s in continuous use, so it’s only ever hand washed in the sink, but it’s quick and easy to wash. No annoying hard to wash corners or crevices. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. It’s a great bin. Highest praise.

This was perfect for my new lunch box. I started carrying a plastic box for lunch after buying a plasticware set that came in one and fell in love. I try to eat whole food so I take lots of different foods in different containers to work and then bring coffee bags etc in too at times plus my Tervis cup and so on. If there’s a spill, just throw it in the sink. Even with a full thirty two ounce bottle of water and all my other items —soup almost every day—it has never unlatched or opened and spilled in the four months I’ve carried it. It is the perfect size too. Big but not ridiculous. My lunch with liquids is heavy and the other box’s handle failed but this one is sturdy. The four different latches on each side work well so that you have less chance for spills. Good quality!

Good bin to keep everything air tight seals very well

I purchase flour in 50 lb bags and 2 of these bins hold almost 40 lbs of flour. They are airtight and fit perfectly in my pantry. Update: I have to take 2 stars away because one of these containers is warped and the lid will not snap on. I have 2 of these and want to get 2 more. I buy flour in bulk and these are the perfect size, I'm very disappointed. Another update: I figured how to get the lid on!!! This container is so airtight that the lid has to be held down very snugly to get it to snap. I need to run my hands around the outer edge of the top to be sure it was on tight then snap it closed. It's not easy but it works! I also have the next size down of these containers and I will be getting more of them.

I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the quality. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. The item works exactly as described and has made a noticeable difference in my daily routine. I haven’t had any issues with it so far. I especially appreciated the ease of use. Overall, a great value for the price — I would definitely purchase this again or recommend it to others. Decent size and seals well.

I have purchased 8 Komax Biokips extra large storage containers as well as 11 smaller containers for my bulk dry food storage. I keep AP flour, bread flour, oatmeal, rice, white cane sugar, confectioners sugar, brown sugar, xylitol, biscuit flour, cornmeal, and waffle mix in them. And they stack nicely. I have used them for more than 5 years with no problem whatsoever. I love these containers. We used to have a problem with mice in our pantry. Since using these - no mice. I like a good buy and prefer to buy in bulk for staples since the prices are better and the products are all shelf stable. But it does no good to do that if they are ruined by moisture or critters of any kind. Every single container, purchased over about a 5-year time frame (so obviously not from same manufactured batch) work perfectly, which indicates good quality control. These are my go-to containers for air-tight storage. I highly recommend this product!

Bin has worked excellent as a cigar humidor alternative for me. Air tight and maintains humidity well with a boveda pack. Able to store a few boxes of cigars, and my cutters and lighters. Solid Container that is in fact air tight.

Great for what I wanted to store which was 25 lb block of clay

Bought this to store flour. I always buy no less than 10lbs or 20kg of flour at a time. The description said it holds that much, so I thought I'd give it a try. It holds more like 8lbs or 16kg of flour. But it is sturdy, the lid shuts well, it's stackable, and it's a big opening to scoop out contents with a measuring cup. So overall, I'm pleased with the purchase! This would be great to store grains, pet food etc. But keep in mind, it does not hold 10lbs of flour as I had hoped. However, I still recommend the product.

I bought two and received them quickly, and in perfect condition - although they were shipped floating around in a big box with no packing - so no thanks to Amazon shipping dept on that count. The snap-closers all work easily and as they should, and seem sturdy enough - will update if that changes. A note about size: This container DOES fit 10kg/22lbs of white sugar- although that size fills it to the top. I bought 5 kg of white flour and it fills over half full, and would probably take another smaller bag as well. Overall very pleased with this purchase - size is perfect for my needs, and (so far!) they seem to be top quality.

They fit nicely in larger TravelPro Flight Crew lunch bags, without the lid. They line the lunch bag so that it doesn’t collapse on itself and protects the liner inside. Any leaks are contained in the container. Great hack!

Perfect fit for 5kg organic flour. Perfect size for storage of Waffle Iron (off season at cottage to deter mice). Storage for freezer items (to deter freezer burn). I started with one of these then bought 5 more...love this product!

We have been using these for about 6 months to handle take away meals for our teams. So far working great seals are in great shape still.
