It is instant Hot Water
Great to have if you are getting hot water frequently. Previously we would boil water in the morning, put it into a coffee thermos that would keep it hot all day. Now we can get hot water when we like. Have my French press full of coffee any time, faster than using a Keurig. It gets 5 stars because it does what it says, and has a nice faucet, safety feature for the hot, and works without issue, but it still could do it better.. the cons To know: Installing it is easy if you know a little plumbing, and already have power you can plug it into. The Cons: Bad insulation, energy consumption would go way down with some insulation, I hear it heating about once an hour. It feels warm, like a mug of coffee to the touch, so it is giving off quite a bit of heat. Waste heat warms the house in winter, but not good for the summer. The package says equivalent to a 40 watt bulb, but keep in mind that it is like running a 40 watt light all day, as it is pulling 1000 watts on and off. If it had some vacuum insulation like the coffee thermos we used in the past, hot water for a day would be like running a 40watt light for an hour, not a day. Power outage will turn it off and you have to manually remember to turn it back on. Understandable safety feature, but worth noting. Notice this as I was going to put it on a timer to just have it only on in mornings, when it is used the most and fill the thermos for the rest of the day. It does heat the water pretty quickly if you forget to turn it on. It is a bit Noisy. When heating it makes a hissing sound. Not bad but you will hear it.

Highly recommended (better than InSinkErator)
At our last house, I installed the similar InSinkErator instant hot water dispenser + faucet. We loved the convenience (tea and cocoa) and the utility (speeds up boiling water and great for cleaning stubborn food grime). But two issues with it: (1) The installation was a pain, since the faucet had to be secured from underneath the countertop. That meant wedging myself deep under the sink and awkwardly reaching up behind the sink to tighten the large collar/nut. (2) The faucet, although it worked well, loosened up over time and there was an annoying amount of "slack" in the handles, resulting in occasional leaks from the faucet. I tried tightening the small allen screws in the back (awkward to see/reach), but it didn't help. I can't yet speak to the long-term durability of this Ready Hot Water Dispenser, but the installation was definitely easier in this regard; they have a clever system where the collar folds in half in order to squeeze through the counter hole, then is pulled up with two plastic attachments before it is screwed down in place. Much easier to do and no need to crane awkwardly behind the sink. The faucet looks great and feels very solid. The digital thermometer is great and allows for precise adjustments; I definitely tasted a difference between 180 and 185. The only downsides I can think of (compared to the InSinkErator unit) are (1) the tank is larger here, which means it takes up more room under the sink--not a big difference though, and (2) the faucet is definitely taller. Not a bad thing per se, but if you're looking for a small or more subtle faucet, this probably isn't it. Overall, very pleased with this purchase. The quality is excellent, and considering it's about $150 cheaper than the InSinkErator unit, it's really a no-brainer. Aside: Highly recommended to install with the Filtrete water filtration system!

Breaks down right after warranty period
Right after the 3 year warranty period, the unit has failed and leaked everywhere in our cabinet. As others have pointed out, this is a common ongoing issue with these units. You suddenly start to taste a burnt chemical/plastic taste in the water. Then by the next day, the unit leaks everything out. It seems tied to a manufacturing defect that the company fails to address. And coincidentally, their "warranty" expires right around the time these issues start happening. It's hard to recommend this unit, since our previous InSinkErator lasted for 10+ years with no issues. We only switched to these Ready Hot units due to the convenience of the dual handle, which InSinkerAtor now started manufacturing anyway. I would steer clear of this company and their products, considering these well known defects that you will read about in many other reviewers posts over the past few years.

Very Nice; Need Adapters to Connect; Loses Settings on Power Outage
Note I haven't had this long so I cannot speak to durability. This is very nice, but there are at least two things that make it so I cannot give 5 stars. The good is that it looks very nice, and functions very well for my wet bar I turned into a hot water dispenser/glass washing station The first bad is that I had to get two adapters to get this connected to the faucet. Ready Hot assumes you are connecting to a filter so uses the 1/8 (i think) FIP (Female Iron Pipe) connector. I have a whole house filter and descaler so I wanted to connect directly to the faucet. For this I needed a 1/8 FIP to 1/4 compression (couldn't find a 1/8 to 3/8 compression) to hook to a refrigerator/ice maker hose, and then a 1/4 to 3/8 compression adapter. The second negative is that this thing turns off and loses setting upon a power glitch. So had a one second outage last night, and ended up pouring cold water in my French press. Even after I manually turned it on it was set to the default 195F setting and had to adjust it upwards. Now looking for a UPS for a 1000W water heater (almost as expensive as the water heater, ug). I would still buy again and recommend to a friend at this point. 2026.03.11 Update: Finally put a UPS on this thing, but it turns out that the unit actually pulls 1.1kW, so you'll need at least a 1200W UPS (and 15ppW is probably better). Expensive AF.

fabulous customer service
I bought this unit 2 1/2 years ago and it sprung a leak. I am sorry the heater only lasted 2 1/2 years, but their customer service and honoring of 3 year warranty more than makes up my disappointment. I was truly impressed by their service. I contacted them at their web site, provided a copy of my Amazon receipt and the model/serial numbers on a Friday. I did not hear back by Tuesday following so I called the company. I was advised they received by message and a new unit was being shipped. It arrived the next Friday. Amazing! The product was great. I have between home and office owed 4 under sink water heaters, including two top of line popular brand. This was by far the best. Adjustable temperatures including a top setting that is hot enough to make proper tea- almost boiling. Definitely a good purchase.

Great price for the value; difficult install
Pros * Price is great for what you get * We've been using it for hot and cold water now for a couple months. The capacity, water temperature are both exactly what we wanted. * When using a pre-filter (separate purchase) the water quality is great (can't detect any taste). Cons * Unit is quite a bit bigger than the competition (I guess that may be one reason it costs less). * I bought the Amazon-recommended water filter to go with it. They do not use the same plumbing connectors. I had to go to Home Depot twice for parts. Other than not having all the necessary parts included for a typical install, things went smoothly.

Ready Hot Water Dispenser RO Compatible
I scheduled to have a reverse osmosis system installed and wanted to and a instant hot water dispenser. I used Insinkerator before, but not with RO. Realized I needed to change as Insinkerator had copper. Found this on Amazon and was completely hesitant as the price was 20% of an Insinkerator with dual hot and cold dispenser. This system is amazing. The dispenser is high quality. A big benefit is you can make all connections to the faucet above counter top level. There is a clever folding bracket that drops through the hole after you connected your cold water in and cold water out lines. I had our RO company make the connections and he could not believe the high quality. The tank is somewhat large, so plan accordingly. Also, recommends a dedicated 15-20 am circuit, which I did not have but had one added. Works flawless and matches other satin nickel finishes. A great feature to prevent accidents is the hot requires your to push down on the lever before it engages. If you are putting in RO, add this you will not regret.

Super Hot Water Dispenser...
Arrived when stated, packaged well and as described by seller. Best purchase we have made in a long while. I hated filling the water bottles and loading them onto the old water dispenser. Heck with that crap!!! This was the perfect solution, fit and replacement for the old dispenser. We use the hot water more than the cold water, so we don’t miss the refrigerated cold water from the old bottled water dispenser. It’s instant within seconds and maintains the temperature. One con: When the power goes off you have to reset the power to the dispenser, no biggy just have to remember to do that! Otherwise it meets or exceeds our expectations for what we ordered. Built with quality in mind a looks GREAT!
