ok so far this welder has done everything I expected, I have not used the tig welder yet that is why I am only giving 4 stars. It is highly recommended to run this at 220vac as its a night and day difference from 110vac especially the plasma cutter. Disclaimer I am new to welding I am by no means an expert however I have been using a harbor freight flux core 90amp that I modified to work DC that I have been using for small stuff around the garage. Setup: Set up is not step by step and documentation is vague and sketchy I am guessing to someone in china it was sufficient but checkout youtube there a few videos on the topic, but it can be done without really, its just connecting the regulator/gauge and power which is easier that it seems. Mine came with 220vac plug so I bought a 110vac plug from home depot, wired it, plugged it in and turned it on worked great simple as that, I kept my 220 plug to use later when I wired in a 220vac circuit. Arc Welder: I ran the arc welder and it worked great both 110vac and 220vac. I welded some 3/8 steel, 1/4 steel and it worked great used both 6011 and 7018 rods which seemed to work ok, to be honest I am new to welding so working great means I was able to weld a bead that looks probably eh to ok to the pros but it was easy to get a arc I played around with the amperage and it was crazy at high amps on 3/8 steel I had to back it off as I was blowing out... Plasma Cutter: Setting up the plasma cutter you will need the air turned on and plenty of air I had about 80psi which seemed to work. with the 110vac circuit I tripped the breaker at 50amps but still it was cutting most things for a short time before tripping the 15a breaker. When I installed the 220VAC circuit I ran the unit again at 80psi and 50amps the cutter was blasting through everything with ease mainly 1/4 and 3/8 all stock I had. TIG Welder: I did not test this yet, I need to purchase a argon tank electrodes and filler rods to do this, but I have mainly what I wanted from this unit the tig was an added bonus for me, I would like to set it up and use it in the near future. When I test the TIG I will adjust this as needed. Pros: Price point cheapest there is so far. has all of the main components needed for a hobbyist or weekend warriors(light duty) arsenal. works well has some consumables for use. quick shipping cons: documentation, not very clear at all, especially for first timers, could use some clearer documentation. plug should come with a 110v plug as well so that out of the box you can at least verify it turns on and works.

WOW It welds, it cuts, I haven't been able to use the TIG yet, but I am VERY PLEASED!!! The first one didn't work, and Mike promptly sent me a new one. I have been looking at these multiprocess units for months now, and after reading all the reviews for the units under 1000.00, I realized that no matter the brand, US or import, they all can and do break at times. So what it comes down to for me is customer service. I read about Mike's responsiveness and decided to test it out, so I called the number, and he actually ANSWERED the phone, he answered all my questions, and assured me of the 3 year warranty with free shipping both ways. I feel like for the price and the great customer support I can't go wrong. I have burned about 30 6011 and 7018 rods in 3/32 and 1/8, Radnor, Lincoln, and Vulcan brands all run just fine. Switching to the plasma cutter is easy, I have cut 1/8 and 3/16 like butter, haven't cut anything thick yet, but I don't have much of a need to cut thick stuff. I cut my teeth years ago on an AC buzz box, and this welder welds 100% better than that old technology!!! The gauge is on the front of the machine AND is in PSI!! (some import units come with gauges NOT in PSI, and at the BACK of the machine, so you have to convert to PSI, and go around the back to see the gauge). All the leads seem to be of good quality. I put this on a HF welder cart, converted the L6-30 plug to a 240v plug that fits my welder outlet. I actually use a 8g 3 conductor 25ft extension cord I got off Amazon to reach around the garage, works well, couldn't build one for much cheaper. I wish I had just bought the adapter that converts the L6-30 to 240v plug. Considering the price and the excellent customer service, I expect your experience would be AT LEAST as good as mine. UPDATE 2/18/19 - I have burned about 60 lbs of rods so far. YES thats 12 of the five lb boxes. I don't use a plasma cutter much, but it always works. I finally changed the tip just to change one. Still works great. Yes I would buy it again

I got to say that I really like this little machine. I received it today, got it all put together, fired it up and it worked like a champ. My first piece of steel was some 7/16 inch flat bar and totally went through it like nobodies business. My jaw hit the floor. I do know I need to get one of those wire doohickeys so I can maintain a even distance above the cutting surface, of course that's my issue not the machine. I did a few more cuts on scrap metal and it just worked great. I connected up the stick welder, grabbed 3/32nd 6011 and it just turned it to really smooth butter. I had the machine set to 55 amps and it ran just great. As far as it's operation and considering the fact I'm just a hobbyist, this little box really fits the bill just about right. It's the best bang for the buck for what I do. As for anything negative, there are a couple but they really quite minor. First would be the leads need to be as long as the one used for plasma cutting. The grounding clamp lead definitely needs a little extra length to it. Then in the description of the product itself, and maybe I overlooked it, there was no mention of what type of electrical plug it had. For some reason I was assuming it was coming with no plug and just open wires so you can make it for whatever you needed, 110 or 220 volts. I was somewhat surprise to see that it comes with an L6-30 plug. Thinking I was going to be wiring in a L14-30 I was stumped temporarily while I came up with a solution. Anyway none of this was really a show stopper and not all of it is related to the machine or the manufacturer. This machine is a good running little dude and I'm right now happy that I bought it. Oh and as a side note, I exchanged emails with Mike at PrimeWeld and he really seems to be a good down to earth person. UPDATE: So it's been about 18 months now and I have been using this little machine for a lot for various projects. It still runs and operates now like it did when I first got it. One of the projects I built with this welder is a trailer which goes on the back of an ATV for use in Search and Rescue missions to transport injured people. I added a couple of pictures here for your viewing pleasure. One of the pictures is members of my SAR team for a local parade so we could show it's first preview. This Primeweld machine is the real deal and I have no regrets in having purchased it. It may very well be a product which could contribute to saving a life someday.

First one arrived but Plasma cutter and arc welder board was bad. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING. Talked to a guy(forgot his name, but he knows what to do) and sent pics and he couldn't see any loose wires , So he shipped a new Unit Second one arrived in a few days hooked up the air hoses and filter plugged into 240 power and Plasma cuts great, arc welder works great...haven't tried TIG yet...this has a 50 amp plug and 50 amp cord, very impressive. The Customer service is OUTSTANDING I cannot say enough about that. The guy I talked to was in New Jersey and spoke English... This outfit is very Professional and will definitely encourage everyone interested in this type of machine to try this outfit . Very impressed...Price very good, product very well made. This has the good rubber coating on all leads. Even power cord is the SOOW type I believe which would mean extreme weather resistant and also resistance to oils and just about everything else...

I believe someone in one of these reviews said something really smart. They said any welder can break, so it is just important to find a company that will stand behind there's when it does. Prime weld did, I have had terrible luck with electronics lately, it seems everything has been dying for no reason. While Microsoft won't give me a new Xbox, and Amazon doesn't even have a protection plan for those stupid lab power supplies that keep dying on me, prime weld will actually send you a new welder if yours just dies suddenly. I just got my replacement this last Monday, and I am very very grateful. Thank you prime weld. I bought the 50 Amp plasma cutter, and it was ages before I actually got set up with a shop power supply and then an air supply that it needed for cutting, but once I did it cut just like butter! And although I got it for the plasma cutting, I ended up just using the stick welding function all the time and find I don't tend to use the plasma cutting as much as I thought I would. Just because of my own needs, nothing wrong with it or anything. Anyway, the stick welding works smooth as butter,it goes up to 200 amps on that function and let me just say, I was completely un used to just how much power it can put out! It's just crazy, I had a stick welder before, but it was this obnoxious loud stinky, and did I mention loud? Gas (as in petroleum) powered welder, it burns through gas like crazy and just generally sucks. Anyway, this is about a million times better than my old welder. And now that I have experienced the quality and customer support, I will definitely be procuring a much more expensive Tig welder from them in the future. To be honest I haven't had a chance to get the argon and try Tig welding with this one yet. I know it can, but I don't know how good it is. It sucks I can't write about that aspect of it as I haven't heard anyone else review it yet either. It seems everyone else is like me and doesn't have argon and just got it for plasma cutting. It is entirely possible that the Tig function it perfectly adequate for my needs, I guess I just assume that it won't be enough for me, Wich admittedly isn't very fair at all considering how blown away I was with the quality of the other functions, it's just that I know for a fact how good their dedicated Tig welders are and would love to as one to my humble begining of a collection. So all in all, 10/10 welder and service, would recommend

I first bought this just for plasma cutting ability. It worked great on my farm projects. Then I had a larger more complex project building arena panels . Used the stick welder then. With digital Amp settings you get easy start arch, and easy tac welds. I found 3/32 worked well on the thinner steel all things are made out of anymore. I hadn't stick welded in 35 years , high school metal shop . This machine made it a easy, quick learning curve with minimal burn thru . Remastered the techniques from metal shop. Only issue I had is after a few jobs with plasma cutting, cutter didn't want to throw cutting arch. Tried every thing. New consumables for torch head, different air compressor, etc nothing made it work. Called prime weld and in taking me thru things I commented that torch head had a Crack in plastic . Sent them a picture in text msg. They said that would cause fail. Emailed me a shipping confirmation of new torch headed to me , for fix. Awesome customer service. And backing their product up. Nice to know there are companies out there still putting the customer first. Haven't tried Mig welding yet. But if it's like the other jobs this machine does I don't think I'll be dissatisfied . Would highly recommend and buy again or buy other products from this company .

I'm not a professional welder but I do have lots of arc welder and plasma cutter experience from maintenance on my tractors, trailers and equipment. I bought this for DC arc (I only had AC) and TIG. Seems to weld as well as I can LOL. The fillet weld picture is old rusty 1/4" steel, 7018 rod 1/8" diameter running 130 amps. The pipe weld I turned down to 120 amps. The thicker cut is 1/2" mild steel, the thinner 1/4" inch. I like the fact that the cutter and arc welder can be hooked up at the same time. Just have to push one button to switch between the two. I plan to test a little more tomorrow. So far I like it!

Only have used the plasma & tig so far and they work great. Good instructions. I really like that it has separate fittings for the gas and compressed air unlike some others.
