Good taste, good flavor, excellent size for the price and personal use, for espresso use and that’s my addiction, need to grind it to the right size corresponding to your espresso machine, also buy a small scale and a coffee tamping station, doesn’t have to be expensive a $30 once will do the job, and watch a couple of YouTube videos on how to extract a creamy, juicy espresso, Enjoy!

A girlfriend told me I needed to try this coffee. It does not disappoint. We usually drink a dark roast, but I wanted to try something different. I was honestly really surprised how much I liked it being that it was a light roast. Very smooth and no bitterness. We also made this in a plain old drip coffee pot. We do not have an espresso machine and it was still delicious! We will definitely rebuy.

The beans we revieved were oily, which typically is a sign of over roasting. Need to return it, as I don't want to get all that oil into the espresso grinder. One other note - make sure you note that the Gold beans are a medium roast, the 'Filtro' version is a light roast, but that's not true for the non Filtro version

My review isn't so much about how good this espresso bean is because it's just fantastic. However, I've found very little about the difference between this and the "Super Crema" version of the same Lavazza espresso bean. I started about a year ago buying Super Crema and love it. It is a fantastic bean. However, being the price had seemed to come down a bit on the Gold Selection I figured I'd give it a try after a year of Super Crema. The Gold Selection is absolutely fantastic. I love both, but now prefer the Gold a bit more. Crema: Not sure what makes "Super Crema" any different than Gold Selection. Both have a great deal of crema and it holds very well. I noticed really no difference and if anything, Gold Selection may have a bit more crema. Roast: The Super Crema is a lighter bean. It's much smoother, with less aromatics. The Gold Selection is a darker roast and the aroma hits you upon grinding. Both are absolutely FANTASTIC. Here's how I'd suggest using. If you like to drink your espresso straight with no milk, maybe try the Super Crema as it's a bit smoother and more mellow. If you like to make lattes, go with the Gold Selection. I think the milk drowns out the mild flavor of the Super Crema a bit more than Gold Selection. I like to still taste the coffee. Sure you can use less milk to get the same result but this gives you a better overall drink JUST IN MY OPINION.

I drink espresso (no milk) from a semi automatic machine. Got this at a good price. Though it's an arabica robusta blend, I love the bright fruity notes. A delicious cup.

It smells very good while grinding and has a honey like taste. Very good beans. Prices are like a rollercoaster tho. $24-60 a kilo. Good luck getting a fair price.
