Perfect for adding lights without drilling
I have an antique secretary desk that we use as an accent piece for the sitting room. We display some small art pieces and knick-knacks in it so I wanted to add an LED light source but didn’t want to drill holes to run power through it.These let me send power through the cabinet to operate some low power LEDs without permanently altering this beautiful antique. Would also be perfect for applications where air or water tightness are important.

It works
The media could not be loaded. This will transfer power wirelessly over a small distance. How much power depends on the distance. How much voltage is distance dependent too.As can be seen in the video, the power level changes with respect to the distance. The LED bulb brightens and dims depending on how far the coils are apart. This is not a conclusive test as the LED globe is low wattage 12V and runs down to about 3 Volts. It will transfer full power over about 7mm air gap, but you also need to factor a case that protects the coils. If you only need a few volts and a few watts, this will transmit over a good distance. Well over an inch with usable power for small projects. That is however physics.Applications for this abound. Waterproof electronics behind a bulkhead on a boat come to mind for me.My sample was well made, professional looking and had good layout. It is caseless so you can install it. I'm worried about the heatsink. They really need to have that mounted on the board and not rely on the component leads for mechanical support. I know they were thinking give as much flexibility as possible to the user, but this imho is an oversight. Too easy to damage and novice users will mess it up easily.

Taidacent 12V 3A High Power Works Perfectly
This product works exactly the way it was made. But, I had to go to YouTube, to figure out how to hook it up, and properly use it. It does a good job in what I use it for.

Immediately blew up
I purchased the 12V 2A long range version. I placed the loops 2 inches apart (I placed the top loop on top of two 2" wide masking tape rolls) as I read on some of these long range ones that you can''t get them too close. So I made sure they were separated.I connected the transmitter to my power supply, and the receiver to a digital variable load. First I thought you feed it 12V so I connected 12V up to it and got almost nothing out. Then saw the description says it will take 48V input. and went up to 30V which was the max of the power supply. I was able to get 12V at about 1.5A out of it at 2" distance. I switched power supplies to one that will go over 30V.. I slowly started ramping up the voltage and got up to about 36V and I heard a pop. The IC on the receiver blew up way before I got anywhere near 40V, never mind 48v. Waste of $40.

Better than advertised!
It worked even better that advertised. Truly high power and transmitted further than stated. It's great for projects and experiments.

Long distance is very close
The description states Long Distance, but the paperwork states 5mm. I don't know how 5mm would be considered long distance. The boards were labeled so it was easy to identify which schematic went with each board. I did not see any cold solder joints, so the connections should be good.I was able to maintain just over 12v output with the coils close together up to about an inch apart. Beyond the inch separation, the voltage dropped rapidly.

Delivers, but squeals.
The only thing not permitting me to give it more stars is the fact that it squeals for the first 15 minutes or so of continuous use. I read that either a component on board is not receiving enough power or the power filtering is inadequate. Either way would totally buy more if this slight thing was fixed. Otherwise this thing delivers an unbelievable 3 Ampere over the air! Science magic!
